‘Trauma healing with a shaman (which I needed), I worked out, had 3 different types of sauna, naked salt water swim, meditation, steam, stretch, aroma balance therapy, wonderful face times with my kids, loving chats with my lover, a walk, delicious food, litres of mountain spring water and so much more.

‘It has taken me many years to start loving myself and giving myself the energy I deserve. But my path and my mind are clear.

‘I can’t wait to explain in more detail but for now, to my army of menopausal women and soul searching people, I encourage you to invest your time and energy on yourself. You will never regret it. @preidlhof @healingholidays #healing #trauma #selflove #solotravel.’

Tamzin has been on various holidays with the spa and wellness specialist company Healing Holidays in recent months, having previously been snapped in Kalamata, Greece, where she floated in a pool.

She also took to her Instagram stories on Thursday where she enjoyed eating lunch in her dressing gown while sat in the sunshine.

It comes after Tamzin claimed that roles for women over 50 are ‘thin on the ground’ as she pushes for more age diversity in casting for shows and movies.

The actress has criticised how some directors only chase the ’15-25-year-old demographic’ as she lauded recent shows like The White Lotus and Happy Valley for starring older women.

Tamzin said she ‘isn’t ready to be shelved at a certain age’ as she said she knows plenty of older women who are ‘sexy and interesting’ but get less roles now.

She told The BBC: ‘This is a first for me to get to being 50 years old and suddenly the roles aren’t there.

‘They are a lot thinner on the ground. When you’re reading something, the parts are smaller. But watching the shows that I like to watch and the ones that have had such a massive impact recently – Happy Valley, The White Lotus – they have older women in lead roles.

‘If they are so successful and so needed and so championed, then why do we not have more?

‘Most people seem to be chasing after the 15–25-year-old demographic, but that age group are not watching television. We’re not ready to be shelved at a certain age just because you’re not the juvenile lead.’

She added that in fact she is part of the audience that will sit down and watch BBC One, ITV and Channel 4, but that she doesn’t see people like herself.

It comes after Tamzin was cast in ITV crime drama The Tower, which is based on Kate London’s Metropolitan series of novels.

In its upcoming second season Tazmin will be playing a character called Cathy Teel.

Outhwaite joins first season cast members Gemma Whelan, Tahirah Sharif, Jimmy Akingbola and Emmett J Scanlan, all of whom are returning in their roles for the show’s second outing.
