Tatler reveals its pick of the posh boys that’ll have you swooning

From tennis aces to up-and-coming Hollywood stars and royal plus-ones, Tatler has revealed the blue-blooded men that have fans swooning this season.

The British society bible has compiled a list of the heartthrobs to follow this summer – including the ‘new Hugh Grant’ Ben Radcliffe and Bear Grylls’ son Jesse.

Elsewhere, British No1 Tennis star Cameron Norrie makes an appearance as well as Princess Beatrice’s husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Here, FEMAIL reveals the publication’s top picks of the swoon-worthy men to watch out for this summer…

Cameron Norrie became Britain’s last chance at this year’s Wimbledon Championships before losing to the winner, Novak Djokovic, in the semi-finals.

And he’s first on Tatler’s list, with the magazine explaining: ‘Boasting the kind of year-round tan only a tennis star can achieve, he’s got a boyish charm with his bright green eyes and dark mop of hair.’

Norrie, 26, who was born in South Africa and raised in New Zealand, became British No. 1 after winning the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California in October, marking the first time a British player has ever won the tournament.

He is cheered on at tennis events by his glamorous girlfriend, Louise Jacobi, who has worked for Calvin Klein as a textiles designer and now works as a textiles consultant for New York-based Please Don’t Touch.

It is not known how the couple met but they appear on each other’s Instagram accounts as far back as 2019.

She is a graduate of the prestigious Central St Martins in London, making it possible the couple met in the capital.

Norrie is the son of Glasgow-born David Norrie and his wife, Helen, who is originally from Cardiff.

The couple, who are both microbiologists, spent the first three years of their son’s life in Johannesburg, South Africa, before relocating to Auckland, New Zealand, after a ‘traumatic’ burglary incident.

Indeed it was Helen, an accomplished long-distance runner in her youth, who first introduced her son to tennis, handing him a sawn-off squash racquet so he could hit a ball around in the driveway of the family home.

Austin Butler became the talk of Hollywood at the start of the summer due to his breakout lead performance in Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis film.

The former child star, who was born in Anaheim, California, was the darling of film reviewers across the world when the movie was released in June – with his depiction of Elvis being described as the best part about the feature.

With a career dating back to his childhood, boasting roles in Disney and Nickelodeon productions, as well as multiple movie parts, and now the breakout role in Luhrmann’s biopic, the 30-year-old seems to be standing on the cusp of a stellar Hollywood career.

But this wasn’t always the plan for the California native, who has revealed his childhood shyness made him so tongue-tied around strangers, he couldn’t even order his own food in restaurants.

His entry into acting came about by a chance meeting when he was 10-years-old.

Speaking to Vanity Fair in 2020, Austin revealed that it was while tagging along when his stepbrother went to L.A. for a commercial audition, that he was asked if he too would like to read for a part.

Austin recalled: ‘I don’t know what came over me, but I said yes. They handed me a commercial – Oreos or Welch’s grape juice or something – and I go up in front of a camera after all these children.  I was shaking, but I did it, and that led to me being an extra at 10 years old.’

After landing a regular job as a background actor on the Nickelodeon show Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide in 2005, Austen got a manager and started acting seriously.

Over the coming years, he worked prolifically, winning roles in Disney’s Hannah Montana as well as in Nickelodeon series including iCarly and Zoey 101 – before appearing in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood (2019).

He was previously in a relationship with Vanessa Hudgens, who reportedly ended the relationship in early 2020, after nearly nine years together.

Since then, he confirmed his relationship with Kaia Gerber, the 20-year-old model and daughter of Cindy Crawford in March this year, after the couple were first spotted together at the end of 2021.

‘Licensed pilot, watch out skies,’ he wrote on Instagram. Six years later, he regularly shares photos of himself behind the controls in various aircraft.

His father is Victoria’s second husband, Jonathan Aitken, but he remains close to the children from his mother’s first marriage: Kitty, twins Amelia and Eliza, 29, and Louis, 28, who will one day inherit Althorp, the childhood home of Princess Diana.

Edo Mapelli Mozzi, 38, initially kept a low profile when he and Princess Beatrice started dating in late 2018, and the couple even enjoyed an intimate wedding in Windsor on July 17 2020, due to Covid-19 regulations at the time.

But the Italian developer has come into his own this summer, seemingly stepping into his role of royal husband with true enthusiasm.

He has been a faithful plus one to Beatrice, appearing at countless events in the past year, often wearing outfits or accessories that matched hers, in a perfect example of power couple dressing.

At the start of the season, he accompanied Beatrice during her two-day-long trip to Sweden for the World Dyslexia Assembly, where she met with Prince Carl Philip and his wife Princess Sofia.

As the royal family geared up for the Queen’s Jubilee and royal events returned in full force, Edo seldom missed any.

He put on his best tuxedo to be Beatrice’s plus one during the charity preview night of A Gallop Through History Platinum at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

A few days later, he donned a navy blue suit to tour The Chelsea Flower Show with his wife of nearly two years, who was wearing a blue floral number.

When the Jubilee celebrations kicked off on June 2, he was cheering from St James Palace as the Fly Past flew over London.

It is believed he, Sienna, the daughter of Edo and Beatrice, Wolfie, Edo’s son from a former relationship, and the Queen’s granddaughter watched the fly past on a rooftop, with other members of the royal family.

Throughout the Jubilee weekend, Edo was present at several events attended by other royal members of the family.

Teenage actor Louis Partridge’s career looks set to launch into the stratosphere after his portrayal of Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious in the Disney+ mini-series, Pistol.

Following his appearance, the 19-year-old has seemingly been in-demand, sitting front row at the Prada menswear show alongside P Diddy.

Next, he will appear in the second series of Enola Holmes on Netflix, after appearing in the first, and will also star in a Peter Pan spin-off co-starring Vanessa Redgrave, Joely Richardson and Iain Glen.

His breakthrough role came as Tewkesbury in the 2020 mystery film Enola Holmes alongside Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown. He has also appeared in 2017’s Paddington 2.

His role as Sid in Pistol is a departure from his earlier roles. Sid, born John Ritchie, was a fixture of the King’s Road punk scene who had been brought to replace original Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock.

He could not play a note but he was as foul-mouthed and audacious as singer Johnny Rotten – John Lydon, now of I’m A Celebrity… fame – often stripping down to his underpants to reveal a skinny torso scarred by self-inflicted knife wounds.

Ben, who has no relation to Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe, joked that he has a ‘pushy stage mum’ who would be supportive of his dreams in acting.

And while promoting his latest film The Gray Man, the Hollywood actor boasted to Entertainment Tonight that he has undeniable ‘Ken-ergy.’

Not much is known about the plot of the Greta Gerwig-directed Barbie movie, which is described as a live-action film based on the popular doll.

Margo Robbie, 32, who plays the title character has said: ‘Whatever you’re thinking, we’re going to give you something totally different — the thing you didn’t know you wanted.’

In his interview, the two-time Oscar nominee did not disagree, claiming: ‘I would never correct Barbie. I would never dream of it. I would say whatever Barbie says is exactly right. She’s right. It’s not what you think it is.’

The actors have been spotted roller blading along Venice Beach in neon pink skates and bright pink outfits.

Other snaps show them sauntering around in Western gear, with Ryan sporting a black and white outfit with a white hat, boots and a pink kerchief.

The actor said in an interview with The Times: ‘I couldn’t give two s***s about those people. They’re so joyless. What part of it is done in disrespect to Austen?

‘Just enjoy it, and if you’re outraged there’s an amazing thing called free will – you utilise it, don’t watch it and go back and watch the 1981 whatever-the-f*** version you like.’

The actor also has a host of notable television performances under his belt including a starring role in BBC One’s The Split, Silent Witness, ITV’s Law & Order and Miranda.

Bear Grylls’ son Jesse had mostly kept a low profile up until recently. The budding musician and artist now often updates his Instagram account with his latest antics.

Appearing to be determined to outdo his TV survival expert father when it comes to daredevil stunts, he shocked fans in October 2021 when he carried out a dangerous parachute jump from a bridge

The stomach-churning difference was that the chute was attached to him by hooks pierced into the skin of his back.

A gruesome video posted on social media showed Jesse, 18, just before the jump, clenching his fists as four metal hooks were inserted into the flesh around his shoulder blades. It is not known if any anaesthetic was involved in the process.

It is not known if any anaesthetic was involved in the process. Jesse was then seen standing on the rail of a road bridge. A companion held the parachute which opened seconds after Jesse jumped.

Despite the force generated by the stunt, his piercings did not rip free and he landed safely after gliding through a valley in an unknown location.

The phenomenon is known as suspension base jumping and was created by Russian thrill-seeker Stanislav Aksenov, who joined Jesse for the jump.

It combines base jumping – parachuting from a stationary point – with Mr Aksenov’s love of piercings. Leaps often result in blood being drawn.

The hooks are removed afterwards and are said to leave small scars after the flesh has closed up. Jesse described it as ‘the most intense experience’, adding: ‘I love that feeling of falling with nothing.’

His father Bear, 47, commended his achievement but begged him not to repeat it.

He wrote: ‘You smashed it! But never again. Now you’re world record holder for youngest ever skin parachute jump, just enjoy it.’ He added: ‘No more!’

Many commenting on the video showed sympathy for Jesse’s mother Shara, who also has sons Marmaduke, 15 and Huckleberry, 12, with Grylls.

Jesse spent the summer base jumping in Europe. Base is an acronym for building, antenna, span, and earth – the objects that a person can jump from.

His father shared a video of the teenager jumping from a cliff in the Italian Dolomites, writing: ‘Jesse is now 18 and his own man, ready for life… He is kind, humble, hard working, original and I can’t stop him jumping off stuff.

‘This is his first big wall base jump. Under canopy by ten seconds or it’s toast. As we say, “Pull high don’t die”.’

In the clip, Jesse was seen taking a deep breath before launching himself off the cliff. He soared through the air before pulling on his parachute cord and floating to safety.

The first person to complete a suspension base jump was Sergey Kotelnikov in Moscow in June 2014 when he jumped from an electricity pylon.
