Tattooed Gold Coast man says he has child inside his bag

  • He is roughly 180cms tall, Caucasian and was wearing a black singlet and pants

A search is underway for a tattooed man who told a Gold Coast service station employee he had hidden a child in his bag.

The man walked into a BP service station on Frank Street at 10.30am on Thursday and began speaking with the attendant, police said.

‘He said that he had a child in a bag he was carrying and made threats towards the child,’ officers said in an Amber Alert.

Police have been searching for the man since he left but have been unable to find him.

He’s described as being Caucasian with tattoos on his arms. 

The man’s roughly 180cms tall and was wearing a black singlet, black pants and a cap and was seen carrying a black gym bag.

He was last seen heading toward Southport on Frank Street.
