Taurean Prince lost his job on Wednesday – and apparently the Timberwolves didn’t even give him a heads-up.

As ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported, the team declined to pick up Prince’s $7.4million option for next season, making the 29-year-old wing a free agent.

And just like the rest of Wojnarowksi’s nearly 6million Twitter followers, Prince learned the news online.

‘Sheesh, appreciate the heads up Woj,’ he responded to the reporter’s tweet.

While Prince could theoretically return to Minnesota, where he played the last two seasons, it wouldn’t be shocking if this incident leaves a sour taste in his mouth.

The former Baylor player usually came off the bench for the Timberwolves, averaging 19.3 minutes per game and 8.1 points over two seasons.

Prince provided valuable floor spacing in Minnesota as he shot 37.8 percent from deep.

He’ll enter free agency after signing a two-year, $14.55million contract last June.

Before being traded to the Timberwolves in 2021, Prince played for the Hawks, Nets and Cavs, and is entering his eighth NBA season this year.

He’s totaled over $43million in career earnings, per Spotrac.
