Tayla Damir: Love Island star and AFL WAG suffers gruesome injury after falling down a flight of stairs

Tayla Damir took a nasty tumble down the stairs on Friday, leaving her in pain as she suffered a shock injury to her back.

The popular AFL WAG, 27, posted an image to Instagram of the damage done, lifting her shirt to reveal a graze along her spine and the beginning of a large bruise.

In the caption of the painful looking photo, the former Love Island star, who is married to footy star Nathan Broad, said she hurt her ‘hips, tailbone, ribs and spine’.

Tayla’s first post about the incident included a photo of a heated waist belt she just received as a PR package moments before she fell down a set of stairs.

‘The timing of this is impeccable. My period just graced me and I fell down a set of stairs straight onto my back half an hour ago. So let’s see how good this is,’ she said.

The next image she shared to her Stories revealed the extent of the injury to her back, as she wrote: ‘This is what falling down a staircase looks like.

‘RIP my hips, tailbone, ribs and spine. Pain is at an all time high and have the Myer Ball tonight. If you see me limping, this is why.’

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Tayla for comment.

It comes just a few months after Tayla was given a very unexpected health diagnosis during a visit to the doctors.

The former reality TV star took to Instagram in May to explain that she recently booked in to see a doctor after blisters appeared all over her hands.

Tayla, who lives in Melbourne, said she was shockingly told she had given herself a ‘mild case of frostbite’ from pushing her daughter Samara’s pram without gloves on.

Sharing the surprising news, she wrote: ‘Lol, I am embarrassed for myself. I woke up a few days ago with blisters all over my hands so I booked in to see my doctor.

‘Turns out I’ve given myself a mild case of frostbite. I keep my hands on the pram without any protection on my early morning walks which has frozen them.

‘I have to wear gloves for a few weeks until it calms down hahaha.’

Frostbite is an injury caused by the freezing of the skin and underlying tissue, with its early stages referred to as frostnip.

Tayla shares her daughter Samara, nine months, with her AFL star husband Nathan, 31, who she tied the knot with in October 2022.
