Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce: Erin Andrews jokes she’s the ‘new Bumble’ for helping to ‘set up’ pop sensation and Chiefs star

Erin Andrews might just have played a role in Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romance, and the longtime NFL sideline reporter is loving how things are playing out.

Over the summer, Andrews and ‘Calm Down’ podcast co-host Charissa Thompson pleaded on their show for the pop superstar to give their ‘fantastic’ friend a chance after he attended one of her shows and failed to meet her.

And just a couple of months later, Swift and Kelce are the talk of the internet as she’s attended three of his games, with the pair seen holding hands in New York this past weekend.

Speaking on the TODAY show on Tuesday, Andrews joked that she’s the ‘new Bumble’ for (maybe) setting the pair up.

She went on to say that Kelce looks ‘adorable’ in his new romance and has a ‘glow to him.’

And the pair was spotted walking hand-in-hand over the weekend in New York City

When asked if she knew any details of Swift and Kelce’s budding relationship, Andrews said she had ‘left him alone. Although I am going to bug him this week because I just want to check in.’ 

Back in August, Andrews and Thompson went to bat for their then-single friend Kelce on their podcast. 

 ‘[Taylor] I know we’re not the best of friends, we’re not even friends, but I consider you one,’ Andrews said on the August 3 podcast. ‘Take us up on this. Go on a date with this guy.’

Thompson told Swift that she should ‘do it for yourself’ but also for the two podcast hosts and the public: ‘There is no one who would give you a better time than this guy.’

Kelce responded to the reposted clip on social media, writing: ‘You two are something else!! I owe you bigtime!!’

Not only has Swift traveled twice to Kansas City (and once to New York) to watch Kelce play, she even wore a windbreaker from Andrews’ WEAR brand.

The jacket, which Andrews said she sent to Swift, goes for $112 and has unsurprisingly sold out since.

The pop star, 33, and Kansas City football player, 34, strolled into Catch NYC – a glamorous steakhouse frequented by celebrities like David Beckham and the Jenners – around 2.20am on early Sunday while holding hands.

The pair also attended the SNL season premiere afterparty earlier in the night.
