Taylor Swift keeps her head down in New York

Taylor Swift blew the world away when she bounced back into the spotlight in controversial style last month with the release of her new music video.

But the 27-year-old popstar chose to keep a low profile when she was spotted in New York on Saturday.

Swift was pictured with her head down as she returned to her lavish apartment following a workout.

She covered her head with an over-sized navy hoodie and wore grey leggings, a graphic-t-shirt and Nike gym shoes.

Swift’s sighting in Manhattan comes at the same time New York Fashion Week events were being held.

The singer, who removed herself from the public eye 12 months ago, is yet to make an appearance at any fashion events with any of her high profile supermodel friends.

Taylor’s best friend Karlie Kloss was spotted at the 2017 Harper’s Bazaar celebration of ICONS event on Friday night.

Swift has been back in the headlines ever since she released her new song Look What You Made Me Do on August 24.

Her latest offering caused a huge stir when she appeared to take a swipe at a string of celebrities, including her ex beau Tom Hiddleston, rival Katy Perry and Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.

The song’s music video debuted at the MTV VMAs, and referenced Taylor’s feuds with Kim, Kanye and Katy Perry.

The edgy video was a major departure from Taylor’s cleaner image.

She pays reference to the fallout between herself and ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris. She appears alongside a tombstone with the name Nils Sjöberg across it – the pseudonym she used for a song she wrote for ex Calvin.

Taylor is also seen surrounded by an army of people sporting ‘I heart T.S’ tops – similar to the one her ex actor Tom Hiddleston had been photographed wearing while they were together.

The singer this week filed trademarks for a bunch of titles and catchphrases from her highly anticipated album Reputation, which set to be released on November 10.

She has even trademarked the already infamous spoken line ‘The old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now.. because she’s dead’ as she seeks to monetize almost every moment of her comeback to the limelight.
