Taylor Swift lays bare her feelings for beau Joe Alwyn in new love song

Taylor Swift laid bare her feelings for longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn in the lyrics of a ‘previously unreleased’ song that she debuted on music streaming platforms Friday.

She debuted a total of four tracks, three of which are re-recordings of past songs, to hype up fans ahead of her Eras tour, which kicks off in Glendale, Arizona tonight.

All Of The Girls You Loved Before is the only song that’s technically never been heard by fans and it gives some insight into the couple’s nearly seven-year romance.

‘Every dead-end street led you straight to me / Now, you’re all I need, I’m so thankful for / All of the girls you’ve loved before / And I love you more,’ she belts in the song’s catchy chorus.

‘Every woman that you knew brought you here / I wanna teach you how forever feels like,’ sings Taylor in the final verse.

All Of The Girls You Loved Before is an outtake from Taylor’s critically acclaimed 2019 album Lover.

The song begins with Taylor putting herself in Joe’s shoes as to explore the passion and heartbreak he’s endured prior to meeting her.

‘When you think of all the late nights / Late fights over the phone / Wake up in the mornin’ / With someone, but feeling alone,’ she sings.

She continues: ‘A heart is drawn ’round your name / In someone’s handwriting, not mine’

For the pre-chorus, Taylor jumps to the present as she reminisces on her and Joe’s romance and how it’s as if the ‘stars all aligned, they intertwined’ just for them.

In one line, she sings ‘Your past and mine are parallel lines,’ suggesting she’s endured similar letdowns to Joe’s in her previous relationships, as well.

She then jumps into the first chorus, singing: ‘All of the girls you’ve loved before / Made you the one I’ve fallen for / Every dead-end street led you straight to me /Now, you’re all I need, I’m so thankful for / All of the girls you’ve loved before / And I love you more’

For the second verse, Taylor rehashes heartaches of past that’s included ‘Fake love out on the town’ and ‘Cryin’ in the bathroom for some dude / Whose name I cannot remember now’

In the final pre-chorus, she explains that all the drama she went through with the likes of her exes John Mayer, Joe Jonas and Calvin Harris was all meant to be so she could become the partner she is today.

‘We’re breakin’ up, makin’ up / Leave without saying goodbye / Just know that it’s everything that made me / Now, I call you “baby,” that’s why you’re so amazing,’ she belts.

It then launches into the bridge, where she touches on Joe’s kind nature and how she hopes she’s finally ended his search for love.

‘Your mother brought you up loyal and kind / Teenage love taught you there’s good in goodbye / Every woman that you knew brought you here / I wanna teach you how forever feels like,’ she sings.

The song comes to a satisfying end as Taylor delivers one last chorus and closes with a heartfelt: ‘I love you more’

The other three tracks are Eyes Open (Taylor’s Version), Safe & Sound featuring Joy Williams and John Paul White (Taylor’s Version) and If This Was A Movie (Taylor’s Version).

‘Taylor’s Version’ indicates that it is the star’s re-recording of an older song, which is a feat she’s been tackling since her masters were sold without her permission in 2020 for a whopping $300million.

Safe and Sound and Eyes Open both appeared on the Hunger Games companion album, while If This Was A Movie was featured on the deluxe edition of Speak Now.

They all premiered on music streaming platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.

Taylor and Joe have been romantically linked since 2016 and the hitmaker has frequently voiced her feelings for the British hunk, 32, in her songs over the years.

The relationship came soon after Taylor’s headline-making fling with Loki actor, Tom Hiddleston.

Taylor and Joe are notoriously tight lipped when it comes to speaking on their relationship publicly and they’ve made an effort to keep it out of the spotlight.

Despite being together for years, they’ve never officially made their red carpet debut as a couple.

Joe has also co-written music with Taylor under the pen name, William Bowery, on her past three albums: Folklore, Evermore and Midnights.

Last year, Taylor seemingly shutdown engagement rumors in the lyrics of the track ‘Lavender Haze’ which opens her 10th studio album Midnights.

It appeared to be a direct hit at a July 2022 report that Taylor had been engaged to her boyfriend for a ‘few months.’

In it she sings: ‘All they keep asking me/ Is if I’m gonna be your bride/ The only kinda girl they see/ Is a one night or a wife.’

She then appeared to hit back at the outdated line of questioning: ‘I’m damned if I do give a damn what people say/ The 1950s s*** they want from me.’

On the same album, Taylor  detailed their love on a track named Sweet Nothing, and even enlisted his help as a co-writer.

In Sweet Nothing’s, she sings: ‘I found myself running home to your sweet nothings, I’ll take their pushing, shoving. You’re in the kitchen humming, all that you ever wanted from me was sweet nothing.

She implies that whilst everyone else wants something from her, Joe is the one person who has remained genuine and true.

She also appears to reference her love on Snow on the Beach – which features Lana Del Rey – crooning: ‘Now I’m all for you like Janet/ Can this be a real thing/ Can it?’ in reference to Janet Jackson’s hit, All for You.

Taylor will be embarking on her sixth headlining tour this Friday, with the U.S. leg set to begin in Glendale, Arizona before commencing in Los Angeles in August.

The tour comes months after Ticketmaster’s catastrophic pre-sale for her Eras Tour, which left pre-verified fans waiting in a virtual line for hours and others unable to purchase tickets at all.

The organization finally apologized to Swift and her fans, citing bot attacks and massive demand for leaving fans in a virtual line for hours and others unable to purchase tickets at all.

The controversy triggered a lawsuit from fans and a furious response from Swift herself.

Fortunately, Swift still had reason to celebrate last month after she made history at the Grammys yet again.

Swift won Best Music Video for her romantic drama, All Too Well: The Short Film making her the first person to win the category with a sole directing credit for their own music video.

‘I can’t put into words what this means to me. For The Recording Academy and my peers to acknowledge me as a director, and in doing so, acknowledge my work to try and reclaim my music… I’m blown away,’ Swift tweeted after the victory.

The Look What You Made Me Do singer also thanked ‘fans who willed this to happen.’

While she was not present to accept the trophy during a pre-televised portion of the 2023 Grammy Awards on Sunday night, her video co-producer, Saul Germaine made a speech.

‘It was an incredible honor to tell this story with you,’ he said of working with her as well as the short film’s stars, Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien.

It marked Swift’s 12th Grammy Award, after earning 46 nods through her career, which has spanned multiple genres and made her arguably the most famous pop star.
