Taylor Swift leaves wife of Chiefs security guard stunned with incredible gesture at Friday’s NFL game

Taylor Swift spoke to the wife of a Kansas City Chiefs security guard on FaceTime on Friday after tipping staff near the VIP suite where she watched Travis Kelce’s team beat Las Vegas Raiders.

Suzie Drew, the lucky fan in question, detailed the surprise call in a TikTok video and shared pictures of her husband with the singer at Arrowhead Stadium.

Explaining that her partner William has been recently working in security for the Chiefs, she said: ‘We know that Taylor is going to be there – if she’s not on tour, it’s a home game, she’s going to be there.

‘I’ve always told William that if you ever get the opportunity to just say “my wife says hi” or something like that. Never really thought anything into it other than that.

‘But it just so happened that tonight she was handing out tips to the workers, to security, and somehow or another we ended up FaceTiming with the one, the only, Taylor Alison Swift.’

Drew then shared footage of the call itself, showing Swift leaning out of the window of her suite to say hello before sharing pictures of her husband getting a picture with the singer.

‘He got this picture – how cute! Needless to say, we will spend all week fangirling. Probably all year.’

She also captioned the TikTok video with: ‘Thank you Taylor! We never got the opportunity to make it to The Eras Tour but this may have been even better. You made our night.’

Swift was at her first Chiefs game in a few weeks, due to Kansas City being on the road and her own commitments with the Eras Tour.

The Chiefs recorded a narrow 19-17 victory over the Raiders on Friday, thanks to a Las Vegas error in the final moments of the game.

Center Jackson Powers-Johnson snapped the ball too early – before quarterback Aiden O’Connell was ready – meaning the ball was fumbled as the Raiders approached field goal range for a kick that would have won the game.

Swift won’t be returning to Arrowhead this weekend when the Chiefs host Los Angeles Chargers.

She will be performing in Vancouver from Friday through Sunday on the final three dates of the Eras Tour.
