Taylor Swift looks set to announce tour dates in Australia

It’s what Australian Taylor Swift fans have been waiting for.

The blonde super star singer appears to be getting set to announce her Down Under tour dates.

According to the Shameless podcast, the 33-year-old is now scheduled to play more than one show at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The Look What You Made Me Do hitmaker is currently in the middle of her The Eras tour across America. 

A Taylor Swift super fan leaked the news of the singer’s upcoming Australian shows to the Shameless podcast on Saturday, though no firm dates were released.

Identifying themselves as an employee of the MCG, the anonymous user loaded a selfie to the app with the caption: ‘Hush Hush but I work for the MCG and dates have been booked in for Taylor.’

Meanwhile, broadcaster Chrissie Swan shared the news on the app, adding the caption: ‘Squeeee@podcast,’x

The American leg of her tour wraps up on August 5.

As of last December, Swift’s Midnights album has sold more than six million equivalent units worldwide, three million of them in the US.

The singer–songwriter broke a record for the sales by moving that many units in just two months, according to NME.

Midnights also had the distinction of becoming the first album to sell more than one million physical copies since 2015. 

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift was named Australia’s favourite pop star, according to Spotify’s 2022 Wrapped Campaign.
