Taylor’s high school best friend, Abigail Anderson Berard, announced she’s going to be a mom in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

Abigail, who has known Taylor since they were 15-years-old, used a quote from The Tortured Poet’s Department track, Daddy I Love Him, to reveal her exciting new chapter.

‘I’m having his babyyyy…,’ Abigail wrote, alongside a photo of her eating Cheez-Its showing off her growing baby bump.

Abigail married Charles Berard, a chief technology officer at Celero Commerce, in September 2022. She was previously married to photographer Matt Lucier from 2017 to 2021.

Taylor and Abigail, both 34, have been friends since meeting at Hendersonville High School in Tennessee in an English class when they were just 15.

Speaking about their first bonding experience to biographer Liv Spencer, Abigail previously recalled: ‘We were the ones in the back of the class saying negative things about Romeo and Juliet because we were so bitter toward that emotion at the time.

‘We just really connected… and ever since then we have been inseparable.’

Taylor has credited Abigail as the inspiration for the song Fifteen, which was about their experiences of falling in love and having their hearts broken during their first year in high school.

One lyrics reads: ‘And Abigail gave everything she had to a boy / Who changed his mind / We both cried.’

In 2021, the Kansas University graduate confirmed her divorce from her husband of over three years, Matt Lucier.

The two married in September 2017, and Taylor was a bridesmaid at the Martha’s Vineyard ceremony.

‘I want to acknowledge a very personal change — that my marriage ended a few months ago,’ Anderson wrote in an Instagram Story in June.

‘I chose this, and as difficult as this time has been, I’m at peace. Matt is a wonderful man with nothing but light and love to offer. I’m forever grateful for the time spent and the memories made,’ she continued.

She announced her engagement to her now-husband, Charles, in November 2021. The news was announced via Instagram alongside a set of engagement photos by photographer Jenn Petty.

The pair tied the knot in Nashville the following year.
