Taylor’s POTY honor was also acknowledged by the NFL and the Chiefs as both took to social media to share and weigh in on a quote from her interview.
‘Football is awesome, it turns out. I’ve been missing out my whole life,’ the singer-songwriter admitted in the profile.
The league added in a post on X, ‘Couldn’t have said it any better.’
Meanwhile, the official Chiefs account reposted it with the note: ‘We tend to have that effect on people.’
In the 96 years that TIME has chosen a Person of the Year, which was formerly called Man of the Year, Swift is the first entertainer to take the title.

Taylor threw football and music fans alike into a frenzy when she unexpectedly appeared at the KC Chiefs vs Chicago Bears game on September 24.
Since then, Swift has attended multiple of her NFL beau’s games, watching him lose for the first time this past Sunday.
She revealed that they only shared their relationship with the world after months of dating behind closed doors.
