Another teacher has gone viral for posting a video of her performing personalized handshakes with her students at a Kansas school.
Jerusha Willenborg, began learning a special handshake for each of her 20 students at Mueller Elementary School after one introduced her to his, three years ago.
‘He added on to it. Then, everyone wanted a handshake,’ the third-grade teacher in Wichita, Kansas, explained to KWCH.

Since then, she has kept to the tradition, learning a new set of handshakes with each new class.
‘It makes me feel like Miss Willenborg has my back,’ one of the teacher’s students, Harmoni, added.
For Willenborg, doing the unique handshakes gives her a chance to share with her students that she still cares.
‘The kids don’t always make good choices,’ she added.
She first started doing the tradition, three years ago and explains that they allow her to stay connected to her students

‘They are amazing kids, but you know, they’re kids. At the end of the day, they give me their handshake, whether they had a good day or not, they leave that day knowing I still care about them.’
Her students have even begun making their own handshakes, each with own special move.
‘I made a handshake with one of the students here,’ said Harmoni.

‘Her name is Navaeah. We’ve been practicing a long, long time. We do our handshake just because it’s fun.’
Video shows that some of the handshakes consists of hugs, while others include intricate hand clapping.
Some even incorporate dance moves, with the occasional hip bump and dab.
