The results are in and Team Fluff has taken home the Lombarky Trophy in the 2018 Puppy Bowl XIV with 90 lovable puppies taking part.
This years event run by Animal Planet featured rescue puppies from hurricane ravaged areas including Puerto Rico, Florida and Texas.
This years game got especially heated in the fourth quarter as two teams of dogs ended up trading leads back and forth.

But eventually one team came through with Team Fluff’s Kaleb Junior who was rescued from Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria whose touchdown secured the win against Team Ruff.
It was a hard-fought battle with the teams going paw to paw and nose to nose competing to be crowned champion of the Puppy Bowl.
All of the pups are available for adoption, and in years past pets have been adopted in minutes as people quickly go online and rescue a puppy they like that’s taking part in the event.
This year’s competition also saw Shirley the rescue sloth as the referee’s assistant.

For the eighth year in a row, America’s favorite ‘Rufferee’ Dan Schachner returned to call the puppy penalties, furry fumbles and terrier touchdowns.
Animal Planet worked with 48 different animal shelters and rescue organizations from 25 US states and territories, to fill the rosters of Team Ruff and Team Fluff with 90 adoptable players for the puppy pile-up.
Other special needs animals include Ryder (a sight-impaired Husky), Chance (a deaf Dalmatian), Moonshine (a sight-impaired and deaf Border Collie) and Luna (a Pomeranian mix with a cleft palate).
The Puppy Bowl was filmed in New York in October in a bone-shaped stadium especially made for the event with the final score being Team Fluff 52, Team Ruff 47.
