The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation has ponied up the largest contribution for Hurricane Harvey relief to date.
So far the pair have donated $18million to launch the Rebuild Texas Fund, with a marathon matching weekend of donations ahead.
From Friday through midnight Monday the foundation will match $1 for every $2 donated for the first $36million raised.

Both Leonardo DiCaprio and Sandra Bullock have pledged $1million each of their own money to Harvey relief efforts
The Texas natives, Michael Dell, the CEO and founder of Dell and his wife Susan Dell, made the enormous contribution announcement alongside Texas Governor Greg Abbott on Good Morning America.
‘These are such great Texans and a storm that has been as large as Texas requires a response as big as Texas and I think Michael and Susan Dell and their foundation, you know they’ve been innovation and technology leaders in the world and they’ve also now been leaders in the foundation area and we need their support as well as the support of people across the world,’ Abbott said on GMA.
‘Over the past week we have seen Texans and Americans come together to assist in the relief and recovery efforts and I have no doubt that this generosity will extend to this fund,’ Abbott said.
‘I thank Michael and Susan Dell for their commitment to the state of Texas and to all those affected by Hurricane Harvey.’
‘This is our home. And we know that it will take all of us working together, over the long term, to rebuild our Texas communities,’ Michael Dell said.

‘As we announce the launch of the Rebuild Texas Fund, we know it is imperative to rally support from companies, community leaders and individuals to work alongside state and federal officials to provide an additional source of funding and ideas for recovery and rebuilding.’
Abbott said the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation would be working with the state’s OneStar Foundation to create the Rebuild Texas Fund.
The Dell’s join a long list of contributors, though none have contributed as much as they have.
President Donald Trump has contributed $1million of his own money, as has Sandra Bullock and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Ellen DeGeneres has also donated $1million of her own money to help in the efforts to rebuild Texas.
J.J. Watts, defensive end for the Houston Texans had started his fundraising efforts with a goal of $200,000 and has far surpassed that reaching the $15million mark.
In Texas, the storm damage is staggering with estimates between $48 billion and $75 billion.
