Imama told ABC7  that her two younger siblings were already asleep and she was started to doze off when the carjacker jumped in.

‘This dude just jumps in the car and he looks back and I realize it’s not my dad, so I go, ‘Who are you?!”

‘He starts driving really fast, going in like a zig-zag pattern.’

Imama said the man screamed: ‘Get out or I’m going to shoot you’.

The teenager said she remembers just wanting to get out of the car but she wasn’t prepared to leave her brother and sister behind.

‘I was just scared for my life, I didn’t know what to do,’ Imama said.

‘I was in panic mode, like, I wanted to cry but I knew I had to do something that can help.’

Imama said she began screaming and trying to choke the carjacker, which woke up her two siblings.

They then started to help hit the carjacker, which is when Imama said she saw her dad’s phone in the front seat.

She reached out for it and started calling 911 while her brother hit the driver with his iPad.

The teen said the carjacker only made it four blocks – and 30 seconds into the 911 call – before stopping the car and fleeing in the car he had originally come in.

Surveillance footage from a gas station just four miles away captured the suspect and four others in the stolen Camry less than an hour later.

The video showed police surrounding them with their guns drawn.

The driver managed to escape but police said the four others were taken into custody and charged with one misdemeanor count each of criminal trespass to vehicle.
