Teen charged with driving under influence of pot and cops find three kids not wearing seatbelts

A Kentucky teenager who was supposed to be babysitting has been arrested after six children were found unrestrained in the back seat of her car, which allegedly reeked of pot.

Krislon Talbott, 18, of Owensboro, was pulled over on Wednesday after Kentucky State Police clocked her driving 97mph in a 70mph zone, news outlets reported.

A ‘strong odor of marijuana’ was coming from the SUV and Talbott – and two other women in the car – appeared intoxicated, according to state troopers.

She was given a field sobriety test, which police said she failed.

Three children were found unrestrained in the back seat and another three were found sleeping in the rear cargo space of the SUV.

According to WBKO, troopers pulled over the SUV going 27mph over the speed limit on I-165 in Ohio County.

Police first noticed three young children in the backseat not wearing seatbelts and they smelled the stench of marijuana.

Troopers said that they then heard noise and that’s when they discovered three more young children asleep in the rear cargo space.

WBKO reported that the driver and her two adult passengers all appeared to be disoriented with blood-shot eyes.

After failing her sobriety test, Talbott allegedly admitted to police that she and the other women had smoked marijuana shortly before they were pulled over.

Officer searched the vehicle and found both burnt marijuana roaches and fresh cannabis that had not been smoked yet.

One of the women reportedly took a small bag with marijuana and attempted to hide it from police, according to WBKO.

Social Services took possession of the children, who were all younger than five years old, police said.
