When it comes to themed birthday parties, Disney is not exactly the most original choice.
However one Kentucky teenager managed to take her Beauty and the Beast-themed bash to a whole new level, hostin a lavish Quinceañera themed around the much-loved movie, which not only featured her very own castle, but also saw her escorted by the Beast himself.
Jaylene Vega, from Lexington, celebrated her 15th birthday – which traditionally symbolizes the transition from childhood into womanhood in the Latino community – by transforming into Belle for the night, while her parents made sure that every element of her dream fairy tale became a reality.

Fairy tale: The 15th birthday party, which traditionally symbolizes the transition from childhood into womanhood, saw the teen channel the character Belle from the iconic cartoon. She was also accompanied by her very own Beast
Angelic: The celebration began at a local church, where a religious ceremony took place, before Jaylene and her family went to a nearby ballroom to start the party portion of the day
Purple reign: Jaylene looked like a princess in her incredibly elaborate purple gown, which featured intricate beading detail on the bodice, as well as a large tulle skirt
The video began by showing Jaylene getting ready for her special day, getting her makeup professionally applied and being dressed by her mom and other family members, before cutting to her walking through a garden setting, filmed at the Kentucky Capitol Building.
The teen was also filmed in a church where a religious ceremony took place, and afterwards was met by the Beast who had been waiting beside a stretch limo, ready to whisk her away.
Videographer Jose Morales was on hand to capture the day in a video that saw Jaylene and the Beast complete a dance routine in a garden setting at the Capitol Building.
The video then cut to the party venue which was decorated like a castle, complete with a backdrop featuring miniature turrets, a chandelier and a throne room where the birthday girl sat with the Beast by her side.

Tale as old as time: The birthday girl also posed for a series of pretty portraits with her date for the evening

Fancy: The party featured lots of lavish details, including several Enchanted Roses, a throne room and a three-tiered cake
Sweet as can be: The incredible cake was themed after Belle’s iconic yellow ball gown, and featured several Enchanted Rose decorations, both in the icing – and perched on top of the baked delight
Finishing touches: From the Enchanted Roses scattered throughout the ballroom to the lavish chandeliers dangling from the ceiling, Jaylene’s parents ensured that every detail was perfect
An Enchanted Rose replica could also be seen, nodding to the trademark symbol of the film, along with a three-tiered cake decorated to look like Belle’s yellow ball gown.
The teenager completed an elaborate dance routine with the Beast before dancing with her other suitors, who were all dressed in matching black suits with gold neck ties and lined up to dance with her.
Speaking on the video, Jaylene said: ‘I want to thank my parents for making this day come true.’
And while the identity of the Beast remained a mystery throughout, the videographer did reveal that you can buy his exact costume on Amazon for $69.99.
