A 13-year-old was rushed to hospital with head injuries after being hit by a ute on a busy highway north of Sydney.
Emergency crews, including a CareFlight helicopter, were called to the scene at Mount Colah on Pacific Highway near Lady Street Friday, Nine News reports.
The young male pedestrian was crossing the northbound lane of the busy highway when he was struck by the vehicle around 5pm.

Paramedics treated the teenager on the scene and escorted him by road to hospital.
He is in a stable condition.
The accident caused major delays for drivers travelling north along Pacific Highway.
