He is the husband of Teen Mom’s Catelynn Lowell.
And on Monday night, during the Teen Mom OG reunion, Tyler Baltierra revealed that he was recently diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder.
‘I’ve been diagnosed with depression here and there, whenever I’ve gone back to therapy and whatnot,’ Tyler explained on the MTV show.
‘Recently, I went to a new place and based on a couple of sessions I had with them, they said, “We think you may be on the bipolar spectrum as well.”

Following the announcement, the 26-year-old reality star took to Twitter to talk about his current mental state.
‘Honestly, I wasn’t even planning on releasing that info, but I figured what the hell!? Like why am I so against telling anyone!?’ he tweeted. ‘It’s actually been a little easier to digest since I’ve been talking about it more.’
One fan asked about his treatment plan.
‘It’s still so new to me. I’ve been doing non-stop research on the diagnosis, the different remedies to combat the symptoms, and how to better understand it,’ he replied. ‘I did refuse medication, but only because I wanted to try all of the natural remedies first. It’s a journey!’

Tyler and Catelynn have had a series of ups and downs as of late.
Back in February, Lowell suffered a miscarriage. It would have been the pair’s third child together.
In 2009, Baltierra and Lowell gave birth to their first daughter Carly, whom they gave up for adoption.
The couple later had Novalee, now three, in 2015.

Aside from the MTV reality show, Tyler and Catelynn run Tierra Reign—a kids clothing line.
‘In the midst of raising our daughter Nova, we realized how hard it was to find good quality children’s clothing that fit our unique styles,’ the couple said in their online store bio.
The pair are also in the midst of a full blown home remodel of their farm house in Michigan.
