Teenage boy ‘URINATES on black girl and hurls racist abuse at her’ during high school football game in New Jersey

  • Police have arrested two teenage boys for hurling racist abuse and ‘urinating’ on a black middle-schooler during a high school football game in Lawrence, New Jersey.  

    Police arrested two 17-year-old boys of ‘Indian descent’ for urinating on the school girl and on suspicion of calling her a racial slur at her during the home game against Steinert on Friday.

    The two face several counts of harassment, bias intimidation and lewdness against the girl who was reportedly a black Lawrence Middle School student.

    The assault happened on Friday night during a home game between Lawrence High School (pictured) and Steinert. Reports said the girl said that a teenager of Indian descent was suspected of committing the crime

    ‘As a police department, we take these incidents very seriously and we will continue to investigate until all of the facts are uncovered,’ the Lawrence Township Police Department said in a statement. 

    ‘This type of behavior will not be condoned in our community.’

    Ross Kasun, superintendent of the Lawrence public school district, said that his he was working with law enforcement officials in a letter and email addressed to parents. 

    Lawrence County Mayor, Christopher Bobbitt, tweeted that ‘hate has no home in Lawrence Township.

    ‘As someone that has felt its sting, I know that bigotry exists and sadly will continue to exist but that doesn’t mean that I give up. Instead I look to find allies that will help me fight the cancer of bigotry,’ he added. 

    A city councilman in nearby Trenton said that the reports of the social media post were ‘extremely disturbing.’
