‘Teenage me’: Kylie Minogue shares throwback photo of herself as a teenager wearing jumper she knitted by hand as she prepares to turn 53
She will mark her 53rd birthday on May 28.
And Kylie Minogue was feeling sentimental ahead of her big day, sharing an incredible black-and-white photo of herself as a teen on Thursday, writing: ‘Dear teenage me … no more sulking … ONE MORE SLEEP until your birthday!’
Fresh-faced Kylie was wearing a chic knitted jumper in the throwback, which she revealed she had knitted herself, adding: ‘(Ps … well done on knitting that jumper.’

The Can’t Get You Out Of My Head hit-maker rested her hand on her face in the photo while looking off to the right of the frame.
The budding superstar wore her hair swept back off her makeup-free face.
Kylie – who told her younger self to stop ‘sulking’ – didn’t appear in very high spirits at the time the picture was captured.
It follows the hit-maker’s recent collaboration with Olly Alexander for the official remix of his new single, Starstruck.
The song was released as part of Olly’s musical project Years & Years.

‘I joined the wonderful @yearsandyears on this track and NOW IT’S YOURS!!!’ Kylie exclaimed on Instagram earlier in May.
‘Loved this song from the moment I heard it. I’m soooooo happy Olly asked me to be on the remix,’ she added.
Olly was just as excited for the song to come out, writing on his own page before it was released: ‘I cannot believe I’m actually typing this (!!!), but this Friday a remix of STARSTRUCK will be released with the legend @kylieminogue!!’

The sighting comes after her sister Dannii, 49, discussed speculation that Kylie is engaged to her magazine executive beau Paul Solomons, 46, on Channel Seven’s Sunrise.
‘Is there any big announcements?’ host David Koch asked last month.
‘No big announcements. There is no news but we absolutely adore him and they are a divine couple,’ Dannii said.

Rumours Kylie and Paul are planning to wed emerged when former pop star-turned-actress Billie Piper appeared to accidentally reveal the news in an interview with British ELLE magazine in February.
At the time, Paul’s stepmother Gloria said she was ‘thrilled’ and ‘excited’ the pair are planning to marry as she spoke to MailOnline.
Gloria also said she had met Kylie and liked her. ‘She’s very nice I’m thrilled they’re engaged,’ she said.
‘It’s very exciting. But I’m sorry, I cannot tell you any more because I’ve been told not to. I respect my son and I respect Kylie too much to say any more.’
Despite Gloria’s confirmation, a representative for Kylie denied the engagement to MailOnline.
