Telstra spelling mistakes on NBN sign in Perth

Telstra has sparked outrage online after making simple spelling errors on a sign adverting the NBN network.

With the telco set to refund thousands of customers over slow NBN speeds the telco can’t afford to make another mistake.

But a few keen eyed social media users were quick to point out the errors on the sign. 

It reads ‘nbn is coming to these areas… register your interest with us.’

The sign then lists a number of suburbs- and the mistakes begin. 

It seems the suburb Daglish, in Perth’s inner west has been misspelled to read ‘Gaglish’, and the suburb Nedlands is listed twice, leading social media users to joke about speeds being twice as fast in the area.

‘Gaglish lol. No wonder they can’t get NBN right. They can’t even spell,’ wrote one person.

Another said: ‘Does that mean Nedlands NBN will be twice as fast or twice as rubbish?’

Telstra has sparked outrage over simple spelling mistakes on a sign advertising the National Broadband Network 

Telstra last week announced it will refund about 42,000 customers as a result of the ACCC investigation and will allow them to change their internet plans or cancel their contracts without charge.

According to the ACCC Telstra came forward to notify the consumer watchdog about the issue.

When asked about the sign NBN said: ‘This is a Telstra sign.’ 

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Telstra for comment.
