Tennis ace Heather Watson flaunts her toned abs in a skimpy bikini during Mexican getaway after landing a spot on the Billie Jean King Cup Finals team

Heather Watson set pulses racing as she shared stunning bikini snaps with her 123,000 Instagram followers on Friday.

The tennis star, 30, wowed in an neon orange halter-neck bikini as she enjoyed herself on a trip to Tulum, Mexico.

Posing in a crystal clear lake, the athlete flaunted her washboard abs and toned legs.

Heather positively glowed as she grinned for the camera, her bronzed skin dazzling under the Mexican sun.

She looked carefree and relaxed, with her long dark hair slicked back and wet from a dip in the water.

The sporting queen went au natural, opting for little to no make-up and no jewellery except for a sexy silver belly piercing.

In another snap, Heather could be seen strolling barefoot along the white sand, shaded by surrounding hedgerows.

Back to the camera, the tennis pro showed off her skyscraper legs and gave her followers a cheeky glimpse of her peachy bum.

She left her luscious brunette locks down and donned a long-brimmed straw hat with a black band.

She added to the look by carrying a large black and red bag in an eye-catching geometric pattern.

In another striking shot Heather wore a black spaghetti strap bikini for a paddle in the ocean.

The British tennis star looked radiant and playful as she splashed about in the clea sea.

She captioned the post: ‘Tulum, Taco, and tequilaaaa (minus the tequila)’.

The post comes as it was announced on Friday that she will be part of Great Britain’s Billie Jean King Cup Finals when they take on France next month.

Heather will compete alongside Harriet Dart, Katie Boulter, Alicia Barnett, Olivia Nicholls, and captain Anne Keothavong – the same team that reached the semi-finals in September.

It means that fellow British tennis sensation Emma Raducanu, 20, will not appear on the team, with Anne saying the former US open champion was ‘unavailable’ for the tie in Coventry from April 14-15.

Emma said after her opening victory in Indian Wells that she did not even know when the tie was, a comment which did not appear to go down well with the team captain.

The former British number one responded to one report of the comment with a thinking face emoji on social media.

Anne then separately posted, seemingly in reference to that: ‘My communication skills are generally good in case anyone was wondering.#

Explaining her decision to keep faith with the current team, she said: ‘I’m pleased to name the same team as the one we had four months ago in Glasgow where we gelled so well, and the team spirit was electric.

‘There were some memorable performances across the week to help us reach the semi-finals…

‘While Emma is unavailable for this tie we look forward to seeing her back on the team in the near future.’

Emma, who missed November’s Finals in Glasgow due to a wrist injury, reached the fourth round of the BNP Paribas Open this week before losing to world number one Iga Swiatek.
