Italian tennis star Matteo Berrettini has split from his sex addict supermodel girlfriend Melissa Satta after an ‘intense’ relationship.
The 27-year-old former Wimbledon finalist started dating 38-year-old Satta – who once confessed to having sex ‘seven to ten times a week’ – in January last year.
But Berrettini has now confirmed the pair have split up amicably despite difficulties in the relationship.
He said: ‘Melissa Satta and I are no longer together. What I can say is that we had a beautiful, intense relationship and we have great respect for each other.
‘I won’t go beyond this, I don’t like sharing my private life too much. Nothing special happened.

The pair began dating in January 2023 and had a ‘very intense’ year-long relationship
Satta, who has modelled for Sports Illustrated and Maxim, has a history of dating sports stars
‘I must thank her for this period we lived together very intensely despite all the difficulties.’
Satta has a long history of dating sports stars. She was in a five-year relationship with former Italy and Inter Milan striker Christian Vieri but her alleged infidelity cut things short.
Seven months after they split up, she was engaged to 43-year-old Italian businessman Gianluca Vacchi.
But when she was spotted outside a hotel with Kobe Bryant in 2011, it allegedly led to the NBA legend’s wife Vanessa filing for divorce before they later reconciled.
Satta also hooked up with former Aston Villa striker John Carew before going out with Kevin-Prince Boateng, the former Tottenham, Portsmouth and AC Milan player.
The model hit the headlines in 2012 when she said: ‘The reason why he [Boateng] is always injured is because we have sex seven to ten times a week.
‘I hate foreplay, I want to go straight for it. I prefer to be on top so that I can be in control.’
They married in June 2016 and have a son, Maddox Prince, who is now nine. After a spell apart in 2019, they divorced in December 2020.
‘I didn’t expect it, it wasn’t my choice, I tried to do my best but it didn’t go as I hoped,’ she said of the split at the time.

Satta was previously married to the footballer Kevin-Prince Boateng and they have a child
Satta has modelled for Sports Illustrated and Maxim magazines in the past and has worked as a presenter on sports programmes for Sky Italia and Mediaset.
Satta hit out at trolls last year after Berrettini suffered from injury issues.
‘It was something that had been going on for months, when our story became known in January,’ she told Vanity Fair, of the abuse she’s received.
‘[They say] ‘Berrettini doesn’t win because Satta is distracting him, she’s too demanding’… But I held back.’
Satti, who was once featured as a model in Sports Illustrated, added: ‘[This has happened before] with my ex-husband [Boateng] who suffered from pubalgia.
‘Even there they attacked me saying that we had too much sex and that was the cause of his physical problems.
‘[The injury Berrettini has] is an injury in the same place as the one in 2021, when I didn’t know him. But in any case – do I really have to answer to these people?’
