Terrifying moment cyclist, 30, is sent flying as another rider KICKS him off his bike in a shocking attack that has left him fighting for his life in hospital

  • A man innocently cycling along a London road was kicked off his bike 
  • Police are hunting for the attacker, who they fear may have assaulted others 

 This is the terrifying moment an unprovoked cycle-rage incident left a bike rider fighting for his life.

On Sunday lunchtime the 30-year-old man was cycling along Wallis Road in Hackney when another man caught him up and began to cycle alongside.

The second man then launched a vicious kick at the cyclist, throwing him off his bike.

Both are travelling at considerable speed and the victim tumbles head over feet before smashing into a parked car and landing in a heap in the middle of the road.

The man went flying off his bike and into the path of any traffic which may have been oncoming

The man was taken by ambulance to an east London hospital, where he remains in a condition is critical.

The attacker rode away from the scene in the direction of Berkshire Road. 

Police say the motive for the attack, at 12.45pm on Sunday, is unknown. They describe the suspect as a white male in his 20s or 30s. 

Anyone who witnessed the incident, who recognises the man shown in the CCTV or has information that may assist police is asked to call Central East CID via 101 quoting CAD reference 3718/10MAR19. 

Officers also want to hear from anyone who may have been threatened or assaulted by this suspect in and around Hackney.
