One of the nation’s favourite festive treats has almost doubled in price since last Christmas.
Those who shop at Sainsbury’s will have to fork out £1.95 for a Terry’s Chocolate Orange this year, compared to £1 last year.
Morrisons shoppers will save the most on their chocolate addiction, with the supermarket charging just 90p.

Asda are just behind them charging £1 and Tesco price their chocolate oranges at £1.50.
The average shoppers have to pay for a Terry’s 157g orange is £1.34, The Grocer reports.
They commented: ‘After a year of inflation, shoppers are more likely to be interested in whether prices are rising.’
Terry’s launched its chocolate orange in 1932 at its Chocolate Works factory in York. Since then it has branched out with over 20 different variations including exploding candy and ‘white chocolate smasher’.
