Tess Holliday has unapologetically reminded the world that ‘fat people have sex’ after proudly sharing a sultry photo of herself wearing nothing but sheer underwear.
The Polaroid photo, which was taken by photographer Anastasia Garcia in New York City last week, sees the 32-year-old model covering her breasts with her hands as she looks over her shoulder and gives the camera a come hither stare.
When posting the image on Instagram, Tess shared a powerful message about owning her sexuality in a society that has limited views about what makes someone beautiful or desirable.

Powerful message: When posting the Polaroid image on her Instagram page on Tuesday, she reminded the wold that ‘fat people have sex’
Inspired: Anastasia also shared the photo, describing just how much Tess’ powerful words mean to her
‘When I saw them, & how hot (& obviously unretouched) they are, I was reminded of a “Tess Holliday’s Advice for Life” that are all throughout my book. It goes: “Fat people have sex. A lot of it. And it’s really f**king good.” That’s all,’ she captioned the image.
The size 22 star’s message has been liked more than 30,000 times, and her powerful words about owning her sexuality resonated with the photographer, who also shared the stunning photo on her Instagram page.
‘I appreciate Tess’s quote more than I have words for. Growing up I always felt like I wasn’t allowed to be sexy, or sexual,’ Anastasia wrote. ‘Despite the fact that I completely was, and completely loved that aspect of my life.
‘I thought because I was fat I had to hide that aspect of myself. I realize now what a crock of s**t that was,’ she continued.

Confession: The size 22 model recently admitted that before she met her husband Nick Holliday she thought she would never find anyone who loved her and her body
I’m pretty lucky to be around women who remind me that so many of us have a shared narrative. I’m also lucky to be surrounded by all this sexy.’
During a recent appearance on the YouTube series Pour Decisions With Candace, Tess candidly spoke about body image, admitting that before she met her husband Nick Holliday she feared she would never find someone who loved her — and her body.
‘I am a size 22, and I never thought that I would find somebody,’ she said. ‘I found somebody that loves my body and tells me all the time, and [he] constantly makes people feel uncomfortable because he touches my butt and other parts of my body in public.’
Tess, who more than 1.5 million Instagram followers, shares plenty of racy photos of herself on social media, and she stressed that you can ‘take super hot photo’ when you are a size 20 or larger.
She went on to tell Candace that doing so helped her start to embrace her own body and become more confident. It was her newfound confidence and her ability to inspire other women that initially attracted Nick to her and prompted him to reach out to her on Tumblr in 2012, which led to the start of their romance.
Doting husband: ‘I don’t love my wife in spite of her being fat. I don’t love her because she is fat either. I just love her,’ Nick wrote when he shared this image of Tess earlier this month
Fan club: Last week the proud mom posted a photo of her 11-year-old son, Rylee, flipping through the pages of her new book, The Not So Subtle Art of Being A Fat Girl
Having fun: Tess also shared some playful photos of herself and her one-year-old son Bowie in the bathroom last Thursday
Nick frequently shares photos of his wife on his Instagram, and the photographer and model often collaborate together.
Earlier this month he posted two photos of Tess braless and wearing a low-cut tank top that showed off her cleavage.
‘I don’t love my wife in spite of her being fat. I don’t love her because she is fat either. I just love her,’ he captioned one of the images.
Over the past few weeks, Tess and her family have been preparing for the release of her new book, The Not So Subtle Art of Being A Fat Girl, and it looks like the mother-of-two already has one loyal fan.
Tess took to Instagram Stories last week to post a heartwarming photo of her 11-year-old son Rylee flipping through the pages of the book, which aims to help people struggling with body image learn to be comfortable in their own skin.
The sight of her eldest son reading her book was clearly an emotional experience for the size 22 model, who used five crying face emoji in her caption for the black and white image of her eldest child, writing: ‘Looking at photos of himself in his mama’s book.’
