Texas dad, 37, mysteriously vanishes before Christmas

Alberto Arias-Nunez, 37, mysteriously disappeared December 13 after he told his wife he was going to buy a car in a city hours away from the family’s Cypress, Texas home

The frantic wife of a Texas father who disappeared after leaving to purchase a new car worries her family could be planning a funeral soon.

Bianca Arias has called on the public to help in the desperate search for her husband, Alberto Arias-Nunez, 37, who mysteriously vanished December 13 after leaving the family’s Cypress home, police say.

It seems Alberto informed Bianca over the phone he was going to visit a friend that day at a body shop in Tyler – which is roughly four hours travel time from Cypress.

A beside herself Bianca has been active on social media since – sharing her story in desperate hopes to locate the father of her three children.

She also spoke with local news station KHOU this week, and can be seen on video sobbing while explaining the family’s horror just days shy of the Christmas holiday.

‘I don’t know what to tell my kids,’ she sobbed in the interview. ‘My three-year-old asks me all the time, ‘mom, where is my dad?”

Bianca became worried later after she had not heard from her husband for some time and noticed her calls were going to voicemail.

She reported him missing, but wasn’t until four days after he vanished that authorities found his white SUV parked at Catvish Village restaurant in Waskom, the news station said.

His car was found unlocked – however, his wallet, keys and phone were not inside.

The name of the alleged friend Alberto was visiting at the car shop is currently unknown.

‘He has never been gone for that long,’ Bianca said, while adding that Alberto’s unexplained disappearance is completely out of ‘character’ for him.

‘When they told me they found the truck and not my husband I was just like, ‘God, give me strength.’ That’s the only thing I can ask for right now.’ she cried.
