Instead of getting long, lush lashes, the Texas fashionista was left with an infected eye that doubled in size and leaked pus.

Sharing the before and after clips on TikTok, viewers have been left horrified with the video seen more than one million times.

What the 24-year-old's eye looked like on day four

When Dyreante Notto, 24, booked herself for a lash extensions appointment, she had no idea that the luxury treat would take a horrifying turn

‘I noticed things weren’t right almost a few hours after the appointment because my eyes would not stop burning,’ Dyreante, who is a student, told NeedToKnow.co.uk.

At first her eyes started swelling.

Dyreante chose not to go to the salon for help because they already ‘messed’ her eye up, so she didn’t want to make it worse.

She started to take her lashes off using oil and her right ones came off immediately.

However, when it came to her left side, she was unsuccessful. She attempted to cut them down, but wasn’t able to.

After having no success at removing the  lashes, Dyreante decided to suffer through the burning and swelling, hoping it would go down because she had an important exam.

But her symptoms only worsened and the student eventually ended up rushing to the hospital.

While she prepped for her exam, she ‘told herself’ she could do it, but ‘she could barely even see.’

She placed a large bandage over her eye to try to stop it from leaking constantly.

As soon as her exam concluded, her sister took her to hospital. Her eyes were in tremendous pain and her ‘vision was completely blurred.’

First she went to urgent care, but after seeing her situation, medical staff sent her straight to the hospital.

‘My eye was infected and began to leak pus and fluids, so while in the hospital, they gave me an IV and monitored me,’ she recalled.

‘They gave me medicine to stop the swelling, infection and pain.’

In the TikTok, Dyreante shares a picture of her lashes just after she had got them done on May 24.

It then skips to various videos of her eyes continuing to swell as time went on.

Dyreante then showed pictures and videos of herself in the hospital receiving treatment for the infection.

The video has more than 198,000 likes and thousands of comments from shocked users.
