Netflix fans are in for a treat, as several hit TV shows are coming back for more episodes. From a comedy-drama show to a reality dating series, here are five fan favorites returning for another season.
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory: After rave reviews, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory will be returning for season 2. The first season follows the Camp Cretaceous gang as they come together to unravel a mystery when they discover a global conspiracy that brings danger to dinosaurs and themselves.
The second season has big shoes to fill, as the first season scored a highly coveted 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Netflix announced the return of the TV show in June 2024, just two weeks after Jurassic World: Chaos Theory debuted. The second season is expected to return in the fall, so be sure to keep an eye on the platform.
The Gentlemen: Guy Ritchie’s series The Gentlemen is returning for a second season, and fans are buzzing with excitement. Netflix confirmed the renewal of the hit series on August 14th. A release date has yet to be announced, but filming will begin in 2025. Guy Ritchie will be returning to direct the series, and Teo James, Kaya Scodelario, and Daniel Ings will all be back as well.
Season one follows Eddie who inherits the family estate, and discovers that it’s home to an enormous weed empire — and its proprietors aren’t going anywhere. Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, and Giancarlo Esposito are among season one’s talented cast.
Blood of Zeus: Netflix confirmed that Blood of Zeus will return for a third and final season. The announcement was made last month, and the final season is expected to premiere in 2025. In season one, a commoner living in ancient Greece, Heron discovers his true heritage as a son of Zeus, and his purpose: to save the world from a demonic army. The following season tells the story of Hades as he crafts a plan to claim Zeus’s crown for himself and reunite with his beloved Persephone as ruler of Olympus.
Supacell: Following outstanding reviews, Supacell is coming back for another season. The streaming giant officially confirmed the good news on August 13th. Season one dominated Netflix’s charts, so it’s not a major surprise that the six-part series was renewed. Supacell is highly regarded by critics, scoring a whopping 100% on the Tomatometer.
Supacell tells the story of five ordinary South Londoners who discover they have extraordinary powers, and it’s down to one man to bring them together to save the woman he loves. Season one starred Tosin Cole, Nadine Mills, and Eric Kofi-Abrefa. This sci-fi series sat on Netflix’s charts for six weeks.
Perfect Match: After a shock season 2 ending, this reality dating series is returning to Netflix for a third season. In Perfect Match, couples who prove their compatibility gain the power to make or break other matches. The cast features people from other reality shows such as Love is Blind and Too Hot to Handle.
