The AFL have ruled out Kylie Minogue will headline this year’s grand final.
On Thursday, sources confirmed the Melbourne-born star is ‘unavailable’ due to a schedule clash.
‘We made an enquiry into Kylie’s availability for the AFL Grand Final however due to a scheduling conflict she is unfortunately unavailable this year,’ AFL spokesperson Jay Allen told the Herald Sun.
‘We look forward to making an announcement on the 2023 Grand Final entertainment later in the season.’
Last year Robbie Williams headlined the event, which was well-received by lovers of the game.

Kylie was an obvious choice for the event. Her sixteenth studio album Tension will be released in September, which features her current smash hit Padam Padam.
Minogue has sold over 80 million records during her illustrious career, making her the highest-selling female Australian artist of all time.
Her incredible success is showing no sign of slowing down with Padam Padam reaching number 19 on the Australian charts.
It’s the pop star’s first top twenty hit since Timebomb, which peaked at No. 12 back in 2012.
Kylie has now had a top ten hit in the UK for five consecutive decades – the ’80s, ’90s, ’00s, 2010s and ’20s.
