The Apprentice returned to the BBC on Thursday, but just minutes into to the series launch fans of the show slammed its choice of ‘completely unlikable’ contestants.
With a host of new hopefuls set to battle it out to earn a six-figure salary job from Lord Sugar, viewers were introduced to a UK Garage artist, two pie company owners, a pharmacist, a yoga teacher and a former NHS doctor.
And shortly after the 18 candidates made their introductions, fans aired their thoughts on social media, branding them ‘elitist, entitled a***holes.’
During the opening scene Dr Asif Munaf claimed he had ‘an extremely high IQ, an extremely high bench press’ and was ‘quite good on the eyes.’
Meanwhile, Foluso Falade claimed she ‘didn’t need Lord Sugar’ but he ‘needed her’ but viewers were unconvinced.

One person posted: ‘The candidate introductions were enough to make me not want to watch it, what an annoying bunch of pillocks.’
‘Watching the Apprentice for the first time in ages. The contestants are already annoying me! Elitist, entitled arseholes! And we’re only 4 minutes in!’ another added.
A third wrote: ‘I don’t know why I’m even watching. They are annoying already and they are just introducing themselves.’
‘Producer’s instructions to contestants as they give their episode 1 intro speech: “OK, we need you to look like the biggest c**t we’ve ever seen.” And everyone of them nailed it,’ someone else shared.
Another commented: ‘This show is so remarkable. They really do go out of their way to find just 2 or 3 (maximum) likeable contestants each year.’

Competitor Dr Asif Munaf, who has already been accused of misogyny, opened with: ‘I’m a doctor. I’ve got an extremely high IQ. I’ve got extremely high bench press, and to top it off I’m quite good on the eye.’
Meanwhile, project manager Foluso Falade made some big predictions – claiming her business would make £10million within the first five years.

‘To be honest, I don’t need Lord Sugar – Lord Sugar needs me,’ she said confidently.
Hot on her heels was music and wellness entrepreneur Tre Lowe, who was in touching distance of fame as part of UK garage band Architechs, also exuded confidence.
‘I don’t think there’s ever been a candidate like me,’ he claimed. ‘I am going to change the world and create a legacy that reverberates through time.’
Previously, premieres for the show have suggested the latest hopefuls could be hapless, as Lord Sugar, 76, was horrified to discover that they had made him a financial loss during the show’s first task.
