The Bachelor’s Areeba Emmanuel has broken her silence on her spat with ‘oppressed ranga’ Zoe-Clare McDonald.

The 25-year-old said she refused to apologise for interrupting Zoe-Clare’s chat with Locky Gilbert at the cocktail party last week, which resulted in the redhead having a tearful meltdown about being ‘oppressed’ because of her hair colour.

Interestingly, Areeba declined to comment on rumours Zoe-Clare, 23, had been ‘too drunk’ to attend the inaugural rose ceremony following their blow-up.

‘I will call people on their bulls**t,’ Areeba told The Daily Telegraph.

‘I have no filter and I am not going to apologise as well because this is who I am,’ she added.

When asked about Zoe-Clare’s bizarre claim that she was being targeted because of her hair colour, Areeba said it simply wasn’t true and labelled her ‘insecure’.

‘It is funny because not once did anyone mention anything about the colour of her hair, so I don’t know where she got that from and what was going on there,’ she said.

During last week’s Bachelor premiere, Zoe-Clare flew into a rage after Areeba interrupted her private chat with Locky Gilbert.

‘To me, it’s disrespectful. If she wants to act the child, that’s fine,’ she told producers.

For no apparent reason, Zoe-Clare came to the conclusion that the other women didn’t like her because of her hair colour.

She continued: ‘I’m the only redhead in the whole entire house… The only colours are blonde or brunette, and then there’s me. I think that’s exactly why Areeba is targeting me. It’s the red hair. It’s just… it’s not appropriate.

‘What’s wrong with a ranga? Yeah. Do you want me to dye my hair every 10 seconds because you don’t like my colour? I’m so sorry, but this is natural, guys. It’s not going anywhere.’

Her tearful monologue confused many viewers because nobody had mentioned the colour of her hair on the show.

Despite being too ‘unwell’ to attend, she still received a rose. Fans later speculated she’d simply had too much to drink.
