Zach Shallcross was determined to have a ‘no sex’ Fantasy Suite week but broke his own promise by his second date on Monday night’s of The Bachelor on ABC.
After he ended up having sex, Zach said he felt terrible and guilty and decided he couldn’t keep it a secret from any of the remaining women.
‘I said one thing and I did another,’ Zach said.
When the show started Zach, 26, told host Jesse Palmer, 44, about his ‘no sex’ Fantasy Suite plan.
‘What’s most important to me and to express to each and everyone of the women is no sex,’ Zach said. ‘None. No sex of any kind for Fantasy Suites.’

Jesse asked him why he made that decision.
‘This is the only thing that feels right and comfortable for me,’ Zach said. ‘It can really muddy the situation.’
‘You’re really going to be able to pull this off?’ Jesse asked. ‘You are going to be tempted.’
‘It’s going to be really damn hard but I want my partner to be sure of us as well and not to be worried that I’m doing that right before an engagement,’ Zach said.
In a confessional, Zach said he expected this week to be difficult.
‘Obviously I want to,’ Zach said. ‘There’s a lot of pent up energy but I’m up for the challenge.’
Zach’s first date was with Ariel Frenkel, 28, a marketing executive from New York City. They rode in a tuk-tuk to a night market where they ate bugs, intestines and kissed between bites.
‘When I kiss Ariel my body gets hot,’ Zach said. ‘Turn on the AC. I’m just so in the moment with her.’

Zach told her she was an excellent kisser. She told him that he was too.
‘I definitely am falling in love with you,’ Ariel said.
Zach smiled and said he takes love very seriously.
‘And there is only one person to love at the end of this, but I want you to know at this point, and I will make it abundantly clear, I can absolutely see a future with you,’ Zach said.
Zach gave Ariel the Fantasy Suite invite card but told her about his ‘sex being off the table’ decision.
In a confessional, Ariel said she was a little disappointed.
‘I definitely want to have these physical moments as well,’ Ariel said. ‘But I always want him to feel supported, to feel cared for.’
The two went to a fantasy suite, changed into their bathing suits, went swimming and kissed on their bed. The next morning they woke up next to each other.

Zach said in a confessional it was difficult staying true to his plan to avoid sex with Ariel but that it was very important to have conversations and not have sex involved.
‘I think it was the right decision and I know in the end it will be all worth it,’ Zach said.
The next day, Zach went on his date with Gabi Elnicki, 25, an account executive from Pittsford, Vermont. Zach met her on the beach and took her to a private island.
‘You look so beautiful,’ Zach said.
On the beach, Gabi told him that in her previous relationship she had been chosen second and then was feeling like that again because she was going on the second date. She walked off and told Zach she needed a moment.
‘I feel very stupid and foolish and I hate this,’ Gabi said to a producer. ‘I feel disgusting. I feel ugly. I feel all sorts of things. Why can’t I be happy?’
Zach went over to talk to her. Gabi said she was not treated well in her previous relationship so being second brought out a lot of feelings for her. Zach said it hurt him to hear that and hugged her.
‘I feel better,’ Gabi said. ‘Zach cared enough to make sure I was okay.

Zach said this week to a lot of people is viewed as ‘sex week’ but he didn’t feel that felt right a week before an engagement.
They went back to the suite and started kissing.
‘Zach says he’s not having sex but I don’t know maybe he will,’ Gabi said in a confessional.
The two woke up together the next morning and kissed.
‘The whole night was a very passionate night for Gabi and I and it was really special,’ Zach said in a confessional. ‘But my whole perspective on how I thought the week was supposed to go changed because something really special happened between us in the Fantasy Suite, and now I feel like I’m holding in a secret.’
Jesse came to Zach’s room and he told him that he had sex with Gabi.
Dinner: At night at dinner Zach told Gabi she deserved to feel like number one. Gabi told him that she was falling in love with him
Kissing: They went back to the suite and started kissing
Maybe he will: ‘Zach says he’s not having sex but I don’t know maybe he will,’ Gabi said in a confessional
Jesse and Zach: Jesse came to Zach’s room and he told him that he had sex with Gabi
‘We both agreed and wanted to have sex together and it was very special,’ Zach said.
Zach said he hoped the women understood where he was coming from. He said he had zero regrets of what he did with Gabi. Zach said he needed to tell Ariel and Kaity Biggar, 27, an ER Nurse from Austin, what happened.
‘I’m going to have to be honest with everyone,’ Zach said.
‘It was a beautiful moment, it feels robbed,’ Zach said.
Kaity got ready for her date with Zach. But first Zach went to see Gabi and told her that he planned to be fully transparent with everyone over what happened between them.
‘I’m feeling a little blindsided because everything that is meant to be private and between us is no not any longer,’ Gabi said. ‘I do feel like my trust was broken because I felt like it was between us. Now it’s between us plus everyone else.’
Zach told her that he was definitely falling in love with her.
‘You are someone that would be awesome to go through life with,’ Zach said.
Robbed: ‘It was a beautiful moment, it feels robbed,’ Zach said
Transparent: Kaity got ready for her date with Zach. But first Zach went to see Gabi and told her that he planned to be fully transparent with everyone over what happened between them
Blindsided: ‘I’m feeling a little blindsided because everything that is meant to be private and between us is no not any longer,’ Gabi said. ‘I do feel like my trust was broken because I felt like it was between us. Now it’s between us plus everyone else’

Zach then met Kaity for their date. The two went canoeing together through a tropical jungle.
Zach told her that while he went into the week setting himself a ‘no sex’ parameter but that he then had been intimate with someone.
‘Honestly, I could have gone without hearing that,’ Kaity said.
‘I’m sorry,’ Zach said.
Kaity said he didn’t need to apologize but she wasn’t happy.
‘Well, I’m crushed,’ Kaity said in a confessional.
Zach said he felt like he needed to tell him but now he was kicking himself. Kaity started sobbing.
Kaity told a producer that she wasn’t happy.
Jungle: Zach then met Kaity for their date
Canoe: The two went canoeing together through a tropical jungle
Intimate: Zach told her that while he went into the week setting himself a ‘no sex’ parameter but that he then had been intimate with someone
Without: ‘Honestly, I could have gone without hearing that,’ Kaity said
Not happy: Kaity told a producer that she wasn’t happy

Later Kaity met Zach for dinner. Zach hugged her and said he just didn’t want any secrets before an engagement.
Kaity said she felt it was something they could get through. Kaity agreed to go with Zach to the fantasy suite.
‘The night went so much better than I could have imagined,’ Zach said. ‘I could have lost Kaity.’
At the final rose ceremony, Gabi, Ariel and Kaity went to meet Zach. Zach told all three women that he had made mistakes this week and caused pain.
Zach gave his first rose to Kaity and the second and final rose to Gabi. Ariel did not get a rose and Zach walked her out.
‘I know you were the only one,’ Kaity said to Gabi when they were alone.
‘I feel like I’m wearing an ‘A’ on my chest,’ Gabi said. ‘F***ing scarlet letter over here.’
Zach came back and hugged them both. Gabi said in a confessional that she thought she would feel happier at this point.
‘He’s like only making eye contact with Kaity,’ Gabi said. ‘When I feel I’ve just been kind of put through the wringer here.’
The Bachelor returns next Monday for the season finale on ABC.
