The Bachelorette: Angie Kent reveals she’s now dating a woman non-exclusively

She failed to find Mr Right on The Bachelorette.

And Angie Kent has now revealed she is trying out a different approach by dating a woman instead.

The 33-year-old revealed on the Two Girls One Pod podcast on Thursday she has been seeing a lesbian named Jess and is exploring her sexuality.

However, she said they are non-exclusive and she is dating other people on the side.

‘I have started dating someone, for a while now. We’re not exclusive but [are] very much dating,’ said Angie, who chose Carlin Sterritt as her winning suitor on The Bachelorette in 2019 before splitting up just eight months later.

‘I have met this beautiful… she’s a girl, so she’s a lesbian, a woman. In the past I have dated non-binary [but] this is the first time I have been with someone who identifies as a woman,’ she added. 

‘I didn’t know how I would go with it, because I’m very attracted to masculine energy, but the more I date a woman, the more I’m like. I’m not that attracted to masculine energy [anymore], I just thought I was. I really love the feminine energy.’

‘The person I’m dating, her name is Jess. She has masculine vibes but is very feminine,’ she said, adding Jess has a mullet.

Angie will be attending events for Sydney WorldPride, where she intends to hook up with ‘men, women and non-binary’ people with her girlfriend’s blessing.

‘WorldPride is just the time to express yourself. I’m okay to pash, I’m not locked down yet!’ she declared.

Angie split from her ex Carlin in 2020 after eight months of dating. 

The actor and model later explained on The Secret Weapon podcast they broke up because they were moving in different places emotionally.

‘There wasn’t something that was really horrible that happened in our relationship,’ Carlin said.

‘It was just that we realised we were both moving in different directions with our lives emotionally.’ 

‘I have started dating someone, for a while now. We’re not exclusive but [are] very much dating,’ said Angie, who chose Carlin Sterritt (right) as her winning suitor on The Bachelorette in 2019 before splitting up just months later 

Angie previously claimed Carlin had wanted her to look ‘like a Barbie doll’, and even said he refused to adopt an ‘ugly dog’ because it wasn’t ‘aesthetically pleasing’.

‘I’m gonna attract people that I don’t really like, because I don’t like being 48 kilos and drinking too much and having to look like a doll all the time,’ she said on her Nova podcast.

‘I’m going to end up with Carlin, and look how swimmingly that turned out. I don’t want to attract that s**t. I want to look like this and attract a really nice human.’

Cuttingly, she added: ‘And no offense to him. I’m sure you know, he’s a great partner to a Barbie doll… but not for this guy.’

Angie previously claimed Carlin had wanted her to look ‘like a Barbie doll’, and even said he refused to adopt an ‘ugly dog’ because it wasn’t ‘aesthetically pleasing’ 

Angie then said she was furious Carlin had refused to adopt a three-legged dog when they were together, saying: ‘He would not even get an ugly dog.

‘I said I wanted a three legged dog, like a rescue, and he was like, “I want an aesthetically pleasing dog. We are not getting a dog like that.”

‘We had a huge fight. And I was like, “What if our children are going to be ugly? Are you going to not want to have them?” Oh, another story.’

She concluded by wishing her former partner all the best.

Following his break-up with Angie in July 2020, Carlin moved on with new girlfriend Emily Bradwell five months later. They are now engaged to be married. 

‘We had a huge fight. And I was like, “What if our children are going to be ugly? Are you going to not want to have them?” Oh, another story,’ she said on her podcast
