While some viewers believed this was proof Becky Miles had changed her mind about sending him home, it turns out this wasn’t actually the case.
The 30-year-old salesman did indeed return with his bags to the mansion, but it wasn’t to resume his place in the competition.

As reported by gossip website The Wash on Friday, the reality of the situation was actually quite awkward for Shannon.
After being dumped by Becky during hometown visits, he was asked to come back to the mansion for re-shoots.
A source claimed: ‘Shannon went back to the mansion, packed up his stuff and left [after hometowns]. He then got a call from a producer saying he needed to come back as they had to re-shoot some scenes.

Photos of Shannon rocking up at the Bachelorette mansion in a taxi had been published online on Thursday morning – just hours before viewers watched Becky, 30, tearfully give him his marching orders during hometown visits.

But a source close to Shannon told Daily Mail Australia at the time that the pictures were not, in fact, proof of a surprise comeback.
‘He made it close to the finale but wasn’t asked to come back. It’s completely not true,’ the insider said.
They added that while Becky had ‘strong feelings for Shannon’, she ended things with him on the show and didn’t change her mind.
