While, the New Zealand-born contestant was introduced on the show as a construction foreman, Ryan is the managing director of his own construction company.

According to his LinkedIn page, Ryan is skilled in custom home building, carpentry and project management, and has worked as a construction site supervisor for around five years.
During his time as a tradie, Ryan helped to restore the Sydney University Campus in Darlington and has assisted the construction of a variety of upscale Bondi homes.

Also in his friendship circle is former Bachelor contestant Jen Hawke, known for her appearance on Matty Johnson’s season of The Bachelor, and Lisa Hyde, who appeared on Blake Garvey’s season of the same show.

Although Ryan hasn’t committed any crimes himself, he has forged a friendship with the nightclub identity’s son, Daniel Taylor, who was recently arrested.
The 26-year-old was arrested in Sydney for allegedly handing over a suitcase holding $2.25m to buy illegal tobacco as part of a deal masterminded by his uncle Michael.
