Steve Price has revealed the bizarre reason he believes children are living at home longer.

Parents are forking out around $200-a-week on their adult children with only one in five paying any form of rent, costing Australian parents $12.2billion a year, research from mozo.com.au revealed this week.

And according to Price, who has a 19-year-old daughter living at home, one of the major reasons is because ‘parents don’t have any problem with their children having sex at home.’

‘But apparently now parents don’t have any problem with their children having sex at home so there’s no reason to leave.’

‘That wasn’t just me groaning… that was the nation,’ Aly said, who tried to drive the conversation in a different direction.

The survey of 1,000 Australian revealed one in three adults under 35 remain at home.

This number is set to rise, according to the 2016 census which showed a 20 percent jump in the number of 25-34 year old still living with their parents.
