The Block 2023: Adrian ‘Mr Lambo’ Portelli issues warning to this year’s contestants

Property investor Adrian ‘Mr Lambo’ Portelli issues warning to this year’s contestants of The Block: ‘I’m going to cause a ruckus at auction’

Adrian Portelli revealed on Wednesday he’s returning to The Block with a bang this year and he plans to bid on all the properties this time.

After stirring up a string of controversies in the last season when he pushed contestants Omar and Oz into record-breaking profits, he’s back to clear his name.

Mr Lambo, 34, said he plans to go head-to-head with super buyer Danny Wallis once more, and is eager to walk away with all of the houses, reported realestate.com.au.

‘I’m going to cause a bit of a ruckus this year. I’m happy to bid on all of them and I’m happy to buy all of them,’ he said.

‘But I’m not going to overpay on any of them. At least people know I’m a serious bidder this time.’

Despite the fighting words, Adrian went on to say he has nothing against Danny personally.

‘We’re just in different leagues. It’s all fun and games. Everyone wins out of this. We don’t hate each other — I like the bloke.’

Adrian made headlines last year after he just missed out on buying Omar Slaimankhel and Oz Abu Malik’s record-breaking house.

The flashy businessman helped drive up the price of Omar and Oz’s reno when he went toe-to-toe with Block royalty Danny.

His aggressive bidding style pushed Danny into paying an eye-watering $5,666,666.66 for the five-bedroom property, leading to rumours he was a ‘dummy bidder’ in cahoots with the western Sydney mates.

However, Adrian later put his money where his mouth is by splashing out $4.25million on Sharon Johal and Ankur Dogra’s house in a post-auction private sale.

It meant the couple, who just days before were facing a major financial loss, pocketed a profit of $170,000.
