The Block 2023 cast celebrate end of season filming by getting ‘ridiculous’ matching tattoos

EXCLUSIVE: The Block 2023 cast celebrate end of season filming by getting ‘ridiculous’ matching tattoos – including a rumoured tattoo of host Scott Cam’s face

This year’s season of The Block wrapped filming last week with final touches and judging of the Charming Street adobes completed in Melbourne’s Hampton East.

And it seems season 19 has made a significant impact on the contestants, prompting them to adopt a unique way to remember their shared experience.

During the last week of filming, and before the end-of-season festivities began, it’s understood that the five contestant teams decided to get matching tattoos as an enduring memento of their journey on the show.

Members of The Block’s production team also joined in the tattoo trend, with Julian Cress, the show’s creator and head, believed to be among those now donning a Block-themed tattoo.

A rumour had circulated suggesting that one of the contestants had gone to the extreme of getting a tattoo of Scott Cam’s face on their body.

Executive Producer Julian Cress spoke highly of the cast in an interview with TVTonight, saying, ‘I can confirm that they’re absolutely fantastic.’

One of the hurdles we faced as producers, with this season being on a smaller scale than the last, was that we needed to make it louder in other aspects.’

Therefore, we made sure to select very competitive individuals who would fully commit and give us a top-notch competition. They have done precisely that.’

He further revealed, ‘They’re all new faces. Some of the participants on this season have attempted to be on the show five or six times before.’

This revelation adds an intriguing layer to the upcoming season, as these contestants will finally get their chance to compete after persistent efforts.
