The Block 2024: Scott Cam takes to the skies and heads to ‘paradise’ island in hilarious new trailer for upcoming season

Channel Nine has dropped a hilarious new trailer for the upcoming season of its hit renovation series The Block.

The tongue-in-cheek teaser begins with host Scott Cam, 61, piloting a light airplane with co-host Shelley Craft, 48, to ‘paradise’ island where the series is filmed.

‘This is going to be the greatest season! This year, I’m taking us in a whole new direction,’ Cam tells her, as he lands the plane on a stunning regional island.

‘We’re in paradise. Welcome to Block Island!’ he continued.

Scott and Shelley are then seen making their way across the scenic location, as Cam reveals that contestants will have their own ‘slice of heaven at their front door’ as they build their properties.

The trailer then showcases some of the gorgeous scenery at the filming location of Phillip Island in regional Victoria, which features stunning natural landscapes, glistening sand and perfect blue skies.

A voiceover describes what viewers can expect in the upcoming season.

‘An adventure 20 years in the making. For the first time The Block is pure paradise,’ it begins.

‘Five couples completely out of their depth, transforming an entire Aussie resort,’ the announcement continues.

The upcoming series of The Block was filmed earlier this year in the popular Victorian tourism hotspot Phillip Island.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal a Channel Nine-owned company purchased Island Cove Villas on the Victorian Island for a whopping $9.5million.

Situated two-and-a-half hours from Melbourne, the site currently features nine homes, a communal pool, a BBQ pavilion, tennis court and a children’s playground.

The upcoming season, dubbed Block Island, will air on Channel Nine after the Olympics finish on August 11.
