The Block fans point out horrendous design fail in Kyle and Leslie’s living room reveal

Blockheads Kyle and Leslie have been slammed over one small detail during their living room reveal.

One fan called the couple’s design ‘cheap and tacky’ because white curtains failed to completely cover a black door frame.

The living room reveal on Sunday came after Kyle, 36, and Leslie, 34, knocked out a wall after judges had criticised the space for being too small.

But the makeover left some fans on a Facebook group unimpressed, because it appears that the Western Australian couple did not allow for the impact of a ceiling bulkhead.

The feature meant that the curtains, which hang from the ceiling edge, cannot form a perfect unbroken line, leaving one black door frame exposed.

‘The fact that the curtains can’t close completely over the door frame looks cheap and tacky. Such a shame,’ while another added: ‘You’re right. It shouldn’t look like that. The door frame shouldn’t be visible.’

‘I agree, that would bug me. I’d have to do something about it,’ said another.

However, one fan did offer a solution to  Kyle and Leslie problem.

‘Drop the curtain rail down so it fits under the bulkhead- simple solution- cheap and effective and would look fine,’ the fan suggested.

Another viewer suggested simply to paint exposed black door frame white.

It comes after The Block contestants Kristy and Brett made extraordinary accusations against other teams on the show.

On Wednesday morning, the pair appeared on KIIS 101.1’s Jase & Lauren, where they claimed they were the only pair who didn’t cheat to get ahead throughout the show.

‘We were definitely playing fair,’ Kristy told hosts Jase Hawkins and Lauren Phillips.

‘I think the only houses that didn’t try to — well, besides that trying to scheme to get the Mustang over the line — we’re the only team that didn’t cheat.’

Kristy and Brett also claimed all teams went against the rules, with Steph and Gian getting Steph’s father to work for them.
