The Block: New contestant Paige slams show with foul-mouthed tirade – before turning on fiancé Jesse

A contestant on The Block has slammed the show’s production with a foul-mouthed rant.

On Tuesday’s episode, Blockhead Paige let loose on architect Julian Brenchley after he pushed back on her plan to relocate the master bedroom to the mezzanine level, separating it from the other bedrooms.

The area initially designated for the master bedroom would then be divided into two additional guest rooms.

‘In a house of this size, you try and keep the family together, in the “private” space. Good luck with it – I think you’re probably not on the right track,’ Brenchley advised.

Paige was having none of this, and became even more agitated when she was told the built-in wardrobes would not fit in her new design.

‘I am not going to be hard-balled. There was a lot of faces behind the camera, eye rolls, huffing and puffing,’ she alleged.

‘I’m sick of the way everyone talks to me in meetings like this. I’m not doing anything wrong and they’re talking to me like arseholes,’ she complained.

Speaking to the cameras, she had some harsh words for Brenchley: ‘I respect him, because he’s a great architect, but I actually don’t give a f**k about his opinion.’

The Western Australian Blockhead then broke down in tears, saying, ‘I don’t know why people have to be rude.’

Paige also turned on her fiancé Jesse, fuming at him for not standing up for her.

‘You need to find some sort of compromise for me, I’ve been nothing but accommodating for you,’ she yelled at her partner.

It comes as Scott revealed that contestants on the recent seasons have less grit than they did 20 years ago, when the show began.

‘The contestants are less resilient than they were 20 years ago, 15 years ago,’ Cam told news.com.au last week.

The current series of The Block was filmed earlier this year in the popular Victorian tourism hotspot Phillip Island.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal a Channel Nine-owned company purchased Island Cove Villas on the Victorian Island for a whopping $9.5million.

Situated two-and-a-half hours from Melbourne, the site currently features nine homes, a communal pool, a BBQ pavilion, tennis court and a children’s playground.

The Block continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel Nine
