The Block’s Eliza and Liberty spend a portion of their $1million prize money on ‘lifelong dream’: ‘I never thought it would happen’

The Block stars Eliza and Liberty Paschke have revealed how they’ve spent some of their winnings from the show.

The sisters, who won $1.05 million at the 2023 auction, are finally living their ‘lifelong dream’ by jet-setting across Europe on business class flights.

In an Instagram video, the pair said they were over the moon to be travelling and were meeting up with their former Block co-stars Steph and Gian, who won the 2023 season and took home a $1.65 million profit plus prize money of $100,000.

‘If we hadn’t won money on The Block we wouldn’t have been able to do [go to Europe] so we’re feeling a bit emotional and very lucky at the moment,’ Eliza said in a video taken at Melbourne airport.

‘In other news, to add to that, it was my lifelong dream – I never thought it would happen – to fly somewhere business class.’

‘So this is probably going to be the one and only time we ever do it,’ Liberty added, noting that it was ‘the one thing’ they’d used with their prize money to treat themselves.

‘I can’t tell you how much this means to me,’ Eliza continued.

On the plane, the sisters made a toast to their achievement and sipped on glasses of champagne while sitting in their business class plane seats.

It comes after the fan favourites look set to trade in their hardhats for passports in their new TV role.

The sisters, who placed second in last year’s season of The Block, are rumoured to be looking to be cast on Channel Nine’s popular Travel Guides program.

As source that spoke to New Idea on Monday claimed that Eliza and Liberty are considered Nine’s ‘golden girls’ at the network and that they’d be the right fit for the travel show.

‘They do have the right sort of “vibe” for Travel Guides. They’d be a lot of fun to watch and wouldn’t be afraid to get amongst it,’ said the source.

‘Clearly the big bosses at Nine believe they’ve struck talent gold with the likeable Aussie sisters,’ the insider added.

Eliza and Liberty have continued as favourite talent at Nine, appearing as regulars on the network’s Do You Want To Live Forever?

They will also be returning to The Block this year as part of the ‘all stars’ team that will help 2024’s Blockheads.

Their ties to Nine predate their appearance on the hit renovation show, with Eliza once being employed as an assistant to Hamish Blake and Andy Lee when the comedy duo were with the network.
