The Block’s Elyse Knowles says she is homeless

They took home $547,000 when they won The Block last month, before making a $1 million profit on their very own Coburg home.

But now The Block’s Elyse Knowles and her partner Josh Barker are homeless.

The blonde beauty said during an interview on the Today show on Friday, that the couple will be camping all summer on the beach before finding their next property.

‘We sold our own personal home now. We have gone from two house to see none, so we are homeless,’ she explained.

‘I think we will be camping all summer on the beach, which is a good thing. We did sell our home for $1.63, which was a record for Coburg so you beauty.’

Just three weeks after the successful pair pocketed a cool $547,000 on The Block, Elyse and Josh had another VERY successful day at auction.

According to  realestate.com.au, the couple’s own fixer-upper in the Melbourne suburb of Coburg sold for a staggering $1.61 million two weeks ago.

Elyse, 25, and 28-year-old Josh reportedly bought the property three years ago for just $600,000 — meaning the sale has netted them a jaw-dropping profit of one million dollars.

The sold price far exceeded expectations, with the renovated California-style bungalow expected to fetch between $1.35 and $1.45 million.

While most millennials can barely scrape enough money together to buy a brunch of smashed avocado, Elyse and Josh are now on their way to becoming multi-millionaire property tycoons.

However, it hasn’t been without hard work, as the talented couple spent two years on and off renovating the Coburg address.

‘It had a ’70s vibe inside — every wall had different wallpaper and there was mustard carpet,’ Elyse explained in a recent interview with realestate.com.au.

Now, the three bedroom, two bathroom abode boasts stunning modern interiors balanced with heritage charm.

Of the property’s lavish outdoor entertaining area, Elyse said: ‘We love to put the fire and the telly on and cook a barbecue out there. You can put the electric blinds down and turn it into another room’.

The pair, who have dated for five years, bought and began renovating the property after being together for just one year.

‘We bought the house when I was 21, and I’d never had any experience in this so I was really relying on Josh and his knowledge,’ Elyse said in a previous interview with Domain.

Nervous: In a previous interview Josh explained, 'It's probably more stressful going through [the Coburg] auction than it is The Block because it's our own money and our own blood, sweat and tears over 18 months to 2 years'

And while they were blown away after their Elsternwick propety on The Block fetched an incredible sum of money. it’s believe the pair will be more elated with the sale of their Coburg pad given their previous comments.

‘It’s probably more stressful going through [the Coburg] auction than it is The Block because it’s our own money and our own blood, sweat and tears over 18 months to 2 years,’ Josh explained.

Elyse added: ‘We lived in the old shack, showered outside, we cooked on the barbecue. Every wall was a different wall paper, the bathrooms were every colour under the sun – it was a very interesting time.’

They are keen to get their hands on a third renovation property soon, having set their sights on a suburb in Melbourne’s leafy east.
