The Block’s Leah and Ash Milton lash out after one team’s ‘gutless’ act following family tragedy: ‘It is unfathomable’

Leah and Ash Milton are continuing to grieve the loss of their beloved family member.

The married couple were left devastated on Tuesday night’s episode of The Block when they received the news that their dog Ollie had been hit by a car.

During Wednesday’s episode, a few Blockheads offered their condolences to the pair who were still feeling raw as they continued their build.

‘Steph and Gian spoke to us last night. They were just walking past and they found out,’ Leah told a producer.

‘The girls [Eliza and Liberty] sent a text. But yeah, no, that’s it… I don’t know who else knows.’

Leah, 32, added that she wouldn’t be surprised if the other houses — Kristy and Brett, Kyle and Leslie — didn’t express their sympathy for the couple.

‘I’m in two minds… It wouldn’t surprise me if the other two houses don’t say anything at all,’ she continued.

‘But if they did say something, they’d just be so fake and nice. I’m not sure how I’d respond to that.’

Kristy and Brett eventually had a ‘quiet moment’ with Ash where they passed on their condolences.

‘Heard about your pooch. I’m so sorry, man,’ Kristy said to the builder.

Brett added: ‘I saw Leah crying the other day, but [I didn’t want to] ask. But I didn’t know what was happening… I would have actually said something.

‘We feel for you, man. You know how we feel about pooches.’

Steph later checked in again with the couple before Leah raged about contestants Kristy, Brett, Kyle and Leslie not saying anything to her.

‘This is literally like, the grief of a child,’ she told Steph.

‘If anything shows your character, it is in this moment and it is unfathomable.’

However, Kristy did pass on her condolences to Ash, but Leah doesn’t think this is good enough.

‘I just cannot fathom the lack of empathy from them,’ Leah continued.

Leslie later told the camera she sent a text the following day, but Leah felt she could have come and seen her considering they are neighbours

'Absolutely gutless'

‘I just cannot fathom the lack of empathy from them,’ Leah raged

‘They are poison. They are true, true poison… I’m beyond pissed off. This is irreparable. They can get f**ked.

Leslie later told the camera she sent a text the following day, but Leah felt she could have come and seen her considering they are neighbours.

‘You can’t walk over the f**king footpath?!’ Leah said off camera.

‘Absolutely gutless.’

House 2 was struck with grief after they were delivered the news their dog had been run over by Leah’s father, Greg.

Ash, 38, was promptly informed the couple’s family dog Ollie had been run over and instantly killed.

‘Ollie ran under me back wheel yesterday,’ Greg told his son-in-law over the phone.

‘Dead?’ was all Ash could say, to which Greg confirmed: ‘Yeah. Instant. It was quick and painless. But it’s still hard. I’m still upset about it.’
