The Block’s Ronnie and Georgia Caceres make a HUGE mistake in their bathroom renovation

The Block couple make a HUGE mistake in their bathroom renovation… so can you spot the problem?

Ronnie and Georgia Caceres failed to impress the judges with their bathroom renovation on The Block this week.

The WA couple made a huge mistake with their shower that judge Shaynna Blaze just couldn’t look past.

While most conventional bathrooms feature a shower head and taps relatively close together, Ronnie and Georgia decided to put some distance between them.

Missing the mark: Ronnie and Georgia Caceres failed to impress the judges with their bathroom renovation on The Block this week

Their shower head was positioned behind a glass screen next to the bathtub, while the taps were on the opposite wall, on the other side of the bathroom.

The placement of the taps would require people to turn the shower on before entering the cavity, only turning it off again after they’ve exited.

They would also be unable to control the water temperature without having to run back and forth between the shower head and the taps.

‘Living in here would drive me insane, having this big, spacious bathroom, and having the taps over here,’ said Shaynna, 58, as she inspected the newly renovated space.

‘And also, with this, to actually turn it on you’ve got to be over there, you have less control of it. It’s good to have the controls near where the hand shower is.’

Despite the criticism though, both Ronnie, 45, and Georgia, 37, seemed thrilled with how their bathroom turned out, sharing photos from the completed renovation on Instagram earlier this week.

‘And just like that we have a bathroom! It’s really a mammoth task to complete a wet area like this in just 7 days!’ they wrote.

‘To our team of legendary trades, thank you for being so bloody brilliant!’

Fellow Faves Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie also praised their bathroom in the comments section: ‘Love it, it’s so beautifully you, elegant and sublimely understated perfection’.
