The Block’s Sharon and Ankur walk off the site after tense exchange

The Block’s Sharon and Ankur threaten to quit the show as they WALK OFF site after a heated exchange with host Scott Cam and Shelley Craft during a ‘welfare check’ at their house

A tearful Sharon and Ankur walked off the set of The Block on Wednesday night and threatened to quit the show after a tense ‘welfare check’ at their house by host Scott Cam.

During the heated scenes, the pressure got too much for the couple and they drove away from their home in a van.

The couple had a tense exchange with both Scott and Shelley Craft about their ‘attitude’ – and it didn’t end well.

‘I reckon we just quit, f**k it,’ Ankur told Sharon as they hopped into a work van.

‘I can’t believe they did that to us. No-one cares about us here,’ Sharon added.

Sharon then ripped the Go-Pro camera off the dash as they drove offsite and the pair failed to return by the end of the episode.

The drama unfolded after they were questioned about their ‘attitude’ by Scott and Shelley following weeks of infighting.

‘The first couple of weeks have been super overwhelming for me personally, I have cried every single day I have been here,’ Sharon replied.

A cranky Scott said they needed an ‘attitude change’ because ‘people around them weren’t happy’, including their builders and tradesmen.

Scott told Ankur: ‘[You said to Sharon] Don’t worry seven more weeks of this nonsense and we can get out of this hellhole.’

He continued: ‘Mate, no-one is keeping you here. You can go anytime you like. No-one is keeping you here. This is not compulsory.’

Sharon fired back, saying the couple ‘don’t want to quit’ but had come across ‘difficult challenges to navigate’.

‘I’m sick of crying about it. I’m not being disrespectful but there’s a lot of defensiveness about us feeling the way that we feel. And that we should just be so damn grateful we’re here,’ she said.

‘We’re not tradies. We try out best to do the best job we can. We’ve had issues with our own team. We’ve had issues outside. There’s no issues with the contestants.’

Scott said the pair were asked to clean the rubbish from the front of their house, but it had sat there for four days.

'It's not fair. It's an unrealistic expectation of a human being to be working 72 hours. Liam works hard too but he goes home,' Sharon added.

He also mentioned how Ankur didn’t help the tradies struggling to hang the TV and mirror and just ‘laid on the carpet watching.’

‘I painted all day,’ Ankur shot back.

‘We’re still here doing stuff. We’re not sitting on our butts doing nothing. We are trying our best.’

Sharon said the couple felt their reputation was being ‘dragged through the dirt’ before Scotty gave some advice.

‘I think what you need to do is regroup. Get all your gang together. Let’s all start again and start fresh,’ he said.
