The Block’s Tanya Guccione has gone to ground after her cheating ways were finally exposed on Sunday night’s episode.
The makeup artist, 40, sensationally admitted to cheating during the finale, telling producers she had in fact taken a photo of the production schedule after denying it for weeks.
She was quickly inundated by a wave of online backlash, prompting Tanya to pull out of all scheduled media interviews on Monday.

A source told Daily Mail Australia: ‘[Tanya] is over being in the spotlight and just wants to lie low for a while.’
Tanya and Vito Guccione found themselves at the centre of a cheating scandal early in the season after Tanya obtained a photo of the show’s production schedule on a whiteboard, and shared it with Luke and Josh.
Anyone who saw the photo would have the advantage of being able to plan their specifications weeks in advance or pre-order something for a specific room.
That’s convenient! A source at Channel Nine told Daily Mail Australia: ‘[Tanya] is over being in the spotlight and just wants to lie low for a while’
The Gucciones and the Packham twins were each docked two points for a room reveal after the scandal was exposed.
Tanya broke down and finally took responsibility for taking the photo during Sunday night’s finale.
‘What I want to say is that I am obviously taking full responsibility for this situation and I am sorry, I am truly sorry. Yes, I did. I took the photograph,’ she said tearfully.
Admitting it: Tanya broke down and finally took responsibility for taking the infamous photo of The Block’s production schedule after denying it for weeks during Sunday night’s finale
She added: ‘I am not a stupid woman but I did a stupid thing. We take responsibility for what happened and where it ended up after that was obviously out of my power, but I started it.’
Yet prior to her confession, Tanya made one last attempt to prove she was innocent by showing the producers a screenshot of a clearly doctored ‘text message’ she’d supposedly received from the fictitious tradie.
However, upon closer inspection of her phone screen, it’s clear Tanya made several mistakes when mocking up the texts, which were clearly fake.
Tell all: Tanya and Vito had found themselves at the centre of a cheating scandal early in the season after Tanya obtained a photo of the show’s production schedule on a whiteboard, and shared it with Luke and Josh
First of all, despite Tanya claiming the ‘tradie’ had sent her an image, no photo of the whiteboard schedule was visible in the screenshot she showed producers.
Secondly, when a text message is sent via WhatsApp, it turns green and is on the right-hand side of the sender’s screen.
But the messages in green were the ones Tanya claims to have received, with one reading: ‘Hello, Tanya. I have your number from a friend. I have The Block schedule. I think it can help you.’
Twist: Before confessing to her involvement in the cheating scandal on Sunday, Tanya made one last attempt to prove she was innocent by showing a screenshot of a text message she’d supposedly received from an ‘anonymous tradie’
Unless the ‘tradie’ had sent Tanya a screenshot of his own messages, the conversation must have been faked in order to make her appear innocent.
She also wouldn’t need to cover the top of the screenshot if this were the case, as it would be her name at the top – not the anonymous tradie’s.
Finally, Tanya slipped up once again when asked when she’d received the text.
Fail: Upon closer inspection of her phone screen, however, it’s clear Tanya made several mistakes when mocking up the texts, which were clearly fake. First of all, despite Tanya claiming the ‘tradie’ had sent her an image, no photo of the whiteboard was visible in the screenshot
‘What’s the date of that?’ a producer asked her.
She replied: ‘That was a screenshot on the fourth of May. Oh sorry, not the fourth of May! The fourth of Feb.’
Filming didn’t start on The Block until February 28.
Oops! Finally, Tanya slipped up once again when asked when she’d received the text. ‘What’s the date of that?’ a producer asked. ‘That was a screenshot on the fourth of May. Oh sorry, not the fourth of May! The fourth of Feb.’ Filming didn’t start on The Block until February 28
Earlier in the episode, Tanya had maintained she didn’t know who took the photo or who sent it to her via text message.
‘Yes, Josh and I both went into the production office during the photo shoot and we did actually visually see the schedule,’ she said.
‘We had a bit of a laugh, ‘Oh my gosh, look at that, that is the schedule. Don’t have a good enough memory these days to remember it off by heart,’ but I did not take that photo,’ she insisted.
She then claimed to have received the anonymous text with the photo, alongside the message: ‘Hello, Tanya. I have your number from a friend. I have The Block schedule. I think it can help you.’
She added, ”That would be an advantage,’ I replied. [They] said, ‘Yes, I will air drop it to you when we come back from bathroom week.’ ‘Who is your friend?’ I asked. [They replied,] ‘Don’t worry, it is a tradie secret.”
